Train ride ❊ (Hyunin)

It was currently 4:30am and Hyunjin was on his way to go to Jeongin's house to go to school together, they had to go a bit earlier than usual so it was still pretty dark outside, lamp posts still on and a subtle fog spread across the roads. Hyunjin knocked on the door, as it opened he saw a rather sleepy boy opening it.

"Still not awake innie?" Hyunjin said as he smiled and hugged the younger. "Get off dummy" Jeongin said dramatically as he softly pushed Hyunjin off his body, rubbing his eyes awake "okay okay, cmon we gotta go" Hyunjin said as he reached out for the boys arm and dragged him out if the house, Jeongin making complaint noises as he does not wanna be getting up this early.

As they walked to the subway they quickly got on the train. It was dark and a bit rusty looking down there, giving it an eery vibe. Jeongin wasn't a big fan of the subway, he didn't like how it made many concerning noises as it went through the tunnel, the people who rode it were scary looking, adults in their mid 40s, old people who seemed like they have just gotten out of jail, and kids from their school who probably just spent the entire night doing drugs or something. But besides all of that it was the only way they could be able to get to school on time, so they didn't have much choice.

"Here innie," Hyunjin said as he pointed at two small seats in the dark corner, nobody was in that area so Hyunjin figured it would be alright. Jeongin obliged and sat down next to him, subtly clinging onto his arm. Hyunjin always notices the way Jeongin looks scared riding the subway, he understands and feels bad for him, he himself is scared about going everyday just cause it looks sketchy. They've had to ride the subway for about 2 weeks now, their moms have had busy schedules during the mornings so they couldn't take them to school or pick them up. Luckily the boys found a better way to get them there, although it was scary going alone just the two of them.

About 5 minutes in to the ride, Jeongin was tired so he decided to sleep a bit for now. He tapped Hyunjins shoulder asking if he could lay his head on it, the older nodded and smiled seeing the soft boy slowly close his eyes as he placed his head down on him. "I'll always be here innie, dont be scared," "Get your sleep."

The older patted his head and laid his own head on the youngers. Jeongin started to close his eyes, falling asleep. Just about 3 minutes after he fell asleep Hyunjin also wanted to rest a bit, but as soon as he was about to shut his eyes the train came to a sudden stop causing the boys to fall onto their sides on the seats.

Jeongin sprang up from his sleep opening his eyes to witness the lights on the train starting to flicker. "Whats going on?" he whispered in fear to Hyunjin as he clung onto his arm again. "I don't know but its okay innie, i think its just malfunctioning a bit," Hyunjin said trying to calm the scared boy in his arms. "Hyunjin im scared" Jeongin said. The boys couldn't see a thing, it was completely dark due to the fact they were still under a tunnel, Jeongin let go of Hyunjins arm trying to reach for his phone. Just as he was reaching at his pocket, Hyunjin let out a scream followed by the sound of shattering glass on the ground. "Hyunjin?!" Jeongin shouted as he turned to where the scream was coming from. It was really dark, he couldnt figure what was going on, "Hyunjin whats wrong?!" He yelled as he tried to look around grabbing onto the sides of the train and the seats. "Hyunjin!" the younger screamed in fear and tears spilling from his face.

Suddenly the lights turned on, Jeongin glaring at the lights as he looked around to see what happened.

Nobody was there.
