Thud.

The sound of a body collapsing on the hard marble floors. Laughter fading in the back, shoes squeaking as the sound runs off into the distance once a body felt like it was approaching closer.

Felix woke up in the nurses office with a loud gasp of air, his head immediately aching and he scrunched his face in pain. "You okay there, Mate?" a blurry figure asked from the corner of the room. Felix squinted his eyes trying to figure out who it is. "It's okay Felix, lie down again, you got hurt pretty bad." The guy said. Felix immediately recognized the subtle yet very noticeable Aussie accent which could only mean, it was Chan. "I'm sorry." Felix apologized, now thinking about how Chan had missed his class and stayed with him to keep him company. "You don't need to be sorry Felix, im just here to take care of you alright? I'll keep you company." Chan said, feeling bad for the boy.

Before Felix's incident, Chan was walking towards his locker to meet up with Felix, but just as he was about to take a turn towards the lockers he heard yelling and laughter. "Look at this fake blonde twink!" a boy laughed, as another boy shoved Felix onto a locker. "He looks stupidly feminine." the boy who pushed Felix said to his friend, "Shut up." Felix said as he tried to push the bully of his body. "Those freckles look annoying on you twink. It's makeup no? how about i wipe that shit off your face." the boy said as he pulled Felix's hair with one hand and swung the other towards Felix's face. The boy hit him while the other laughed looking at Felix whining in pain, face red and eye swollen with tears spilling down his cheeks. Chan immediately ran towards the duo hurting the poor boy and yelled at them to leave. The boys ran as they shoved Felix's onto the ground hard causing him to hit his head pretty hard and pass out. Chan immediately carried the boy to the nurses office urgently and remembering the faces of the boys who just did this to Felix.

Felix sighed deeply as Chan got closer and sat next to him. "Do you not want me here..?" Chan asked sadly. "I don't want you to miss class Chan, you shouldn't be worrying too much about me." Felix said as he laid his head on the older's shoulder. Felix didn't want Chan to be worrying and taking care of him, he felt like a burden, something that constantly needed to be taken care of because he cant stick up for himself, and guilt flowed throughout his body every time. Felix constantly blames himself for what happens to him, blames himself for making his best friend help him through all of this. Chan on the other hand, didn't mind at all and would go through hell and back for the younger, he didn't want to see him hurt. Chan felt like he was meant to be taking care of Felix, but the younger seemed to push him away and he didn't know why.

"Please go to class Chan, I'll be fine, I'll ask mum to pick me up." Felix said, as he turned to face a mirror that was hung up on the wall. He saw the bruises on his eye and neck, ice pack placed on the back of his head. He started to cry quietly while looking at himself in disgust, Chan noticed as he as well stared at Felix through the mirror, a huge wave of guilt flowing through his blood and the need to comfort Felix forever lingering on his mind. "I won't go back until I'm sure you've gotten home safely, Felix." "I just want to know you'll be okay." Chan said, softly cupping the younger's face with his hand and turned Felix's head in order to face him. He stared at Felix's injured face, wanting nothing more than to smother him with love and reassure him that he's perfect the way he is. Also wanting to beat the fucking shit out of the boys who made Felix think about himself in a bad way.
