4|The Rainy Encounter

Both families were overjoyed and ecstatic to know Shanaya and Shahyan's answers and happily started preparing for their wedding. Since Eid-Ul-Adha was near the corner, the families decided to conduct their wedding as soon as possible so that the couple could spend their first Eid together. Many relatives of Shanaya and Shahyan had already come over from abroad to celebrate Eid in Bangladesh. It made things much easier for both sides now they could easily conduct the wedding in a month, and all the relatives who lived abroad could easily attend the wedding.

The families decided to conduct their Akht and ring exchanging ceremony on the 13th of this month and other wedding functions at the end of the month.

A/N : Akht is the day where the man and woman sign the marital agreement and officially become a couple, but after the Akht, the wife does not go to her husband's house till the wedding functions.

"Dr Shahyan, can you please tell me what spell you have cast on my parents that they think you are the perfect match for me?" Shanaya asked, huffing, while holding multiple reports in her hands, assisting Shahyan while he examined a patient's report.

"How can I cast any spell on anyone, Dr Shanaya, when you are the witch?" Shahyan replied in a nonchalant voice, still examining the report, making Shanaya huff over his response.

"Whatever, Shahyan, now you tell me, how are you feeling that after a few days you will be getting married to such a gorgeous woman?" Shanaya exclaimed, flipping her hair dramatically.

"I should ask the same question to you as well. How are you feeling that after a few days you will be getting married to such a handsome man?" Shahyan replied, finally glancing at Shanaya while furrowing his eyebrows at her.

"I don't know, but all I know is that Shahyan, you are so lucky that you are getting such a gorgeous wife. I am feeling so jealous of you right now." Shanaya blabbered, while Shahyan unknowingly smiled at her childish antics.

"Ahhh! You know, I am also very jealous of you right now. I mean, how are you getting such a heartthrob as your husband?" Shahyan replied, with a wide smile on his face and both kept on blabbering things as they walked together, after submitting back the reports in their place.

Nahian was using his cell phone while settled in the back seat when suddenly his eyes drifted outside the car window. It was drizzling outside. A smile instantly formed on his face, seeing the drizzle. It has been almost a year since he last visited his country. When Nahian got to know that his childhood best friend was getting married, Nahian was very ecstatic and instantly booked his ticket for Bangladesh. However, he lied to Shahyan that he wouldn't be able to make it to his wedding due to his work commitments to surprise him with his arrival at his wedding itself. Apart from that, Nahian was also assigned to work for a project in Bangladesh from his company, meaning that he had to stay in Bangladesh for a longer period. Shahyan, on the other hand, was really upset to hear that his childhood best friend wouldn't be able to make it on his big day. Nahian was now on his way to meet his other friend, who had a flight to Switzerland today.

While admiring the dark, cloudy sky and light drops of rain, Nahian started mumbling songs under his breath.
