Archers point of view
We land and I can tell that stella's nerves are at an all-time high.
"Are you okay?" I question genuinely concerned.
"I just have a lot of adrenaline coursing through my body right now, but I am sure a little nap will be able to fix it."
I open the car door for her, and she climbs into the passenger side. I get in and drive towards the hotel we will be staying at for the next few days. We sit in silence and my mind takes that as an opportunity to run wild with thoughts of its own. I was pretty vulnerable with Stella on the plane today. Was I hesitant at first? Absolutely, but Stella is extremely understanding she brings a peace into my life that I have never felt, and it leaves me wanting more at any cost.
Pulling up to the hotel I get out and walk over to Stella's side opening the door and helping her out of the car. I toss my car keys to the Valet and grab Stella's hand, leading her into the hotel. We walk up to the front desk and get checked in. The process is quick and by the time we get to the room all our bags are waiting for us. Stella's mouth hangs open in amazement and I can't help but chuckle at her fixed facial expression.
"This place is bigger than my apartment." She says.
I chuckle. "Yes, it is a rather big hotel room, having money has its perks."
"I can tell. How do you stay so humble with everything? You have a lot of money, but you never let it affect you. You spend your money but from what I can tell you spend it on good things, to help people." I say.
"I grew up never having to worry about money, both my parents were wealthy but the taught me that it is more important to help those less fortunate than you. Honestly that is something that initially drew me to you. After talking to Eliza, I knew that you didn't have a lot and I wanted to get to know you. My mom didn't come from money and has had her fair share of struggles, you remind me a lot of her. I knew that I wanted to be with someone like that."
I can tell by her facial expression that she isn't sure how to take that last comment. "Can you elaborate?" She asks, not jumping to any conclusions.
"My mom is good for my father, she keeps him in check and watches out for him, he is better because of my mom, she makes him better and that is because she can see things from different points of view. She never goes around expecting certain treatment just because she has money now, she knows how quickly that can go away. I want to be with someone who can make me better in every aspect of my life including financially."
At some point during our conversation, she sat down on the edge of the bed, and I sit beside her, but our bodies are facing each other. She intertwines our fingers and looks into my eyes.
"Asher, I care about you so much and I know I can be that for you. In the same kind of way you help make me better. I know that you love and care about me and I would give anything to be able to have you in my life for as long as possible. I know that I haven't made our time together easy and that I have put you through a lot but I do care about you and will do what I can to help you as you help me." She says as tears weld up in her eyes.
"I will do whatever it takes to take care of you and help you know that you are important because you are." I say wiping a stray tear from her cheek that decided to fall from her beautiful blue eyes.
She takes a deep breath and with that a yawn fallows. "Are you tired?" I question.
"Yeah." She says.
"I have my meeting in a little bit anyways why don't you take a nap and then I should be back a little later and we can see about going out after is that okay?" I suggest.
