—TAKES PLACE DURING PREMATURE DEATH.—

Y/n's daily routine started with always heading down to the busiest part in town for that day. Whether those emotions were negative or positive, it was good to always be around there for the day. Preventing anything from happening to the towns people. While exhausting, she knew her people were grateful, even if they themselves were afraid of her.

"Y/n!" The little girl hollered, waving the doll of similar features to the young woman. She waved back, kneeling down to her. Noticing the little girls speech being just a little different, she signed to her. 'How are you, little one?' She asked, mouthing as she spoke.

The girls eyes could've exploded out of her head in excitement. 'I'm good!' She signed back, enveloping the young lady in a hug, fitting the entirety of the little girls body onto her stomach and chest. Y/n laughed, rubbing her hair, before moving her hands down to her back, signaling it was time to let go. Y/n still had a job to do after all.

'I'll see you soon.' She finished, 'Need to help others.' She kept it short and simple for the girl, not sure if she was going to understand it, if she kept it at longer sentences. She had just started learning Sign Language. Not wanting to mess it up any more, if she hadn't already. Waved goodbye. The little girl thanking her in her thoughts, which Y/n read. Her smile growing brighter, as she headed farther into town. If only it kept up.

Starting to hear the thoughts of multiple people, she looked down at the floor. Trying to listen to anything that stood out, rather than focusing on the crowd. 'Monday's are always the busiest.' She told herself, continuing and apologizing as she rushed through people. Passing people, exorcising cursed spirits as she passed people. Watching the color rejuvenate back into the skin. She smiled, knowing she was doing a job, even if people hadn't had noticed.

But on this day, something felt different. Something was in the air today.

"Can't put my finger on it." She spoke out loud, looking up at the clouds.

Before immediately breaking her train of thought, hearing all the voices again in her head, on top of the loud commotion going on. Constantly hearing thoughts constantly only helped so little, and hurt so much.

"Are you okay, Miss Y/n?" An older lady, who had watched Y/n grow up to be the fine established woman she was today. Noticing the lady's face sweat in frustration and stress. "Come, it's quieter inside." She smiled, waving her in. Y/n happily obliged, nodding as she followed her inside the antique shop in the center of the market. Only a couple people were looking around inside, as most of the things outside were what she had for sale. That way, it was relatively quiet
all-throughout inside.

"Mago, Miss Y/n will be inside with me for a moment, please watch the stand while we are gone." She smiled lightly, referring Mago, to her grandson. 'That boy better not make me come out there.' Y/n listened, laughing to herself. Following the wiser and older women.

The town had known of her abilities, only seeing her 'Third Eye' as a blessing for healing and justice. Knowing lies and actions of a person, just by reading the memories that people think about subconsciously. This proved Y/n, to be praised for her natural talents. As she tried to keep her blood manipulation away from most people, yet it wasn't the end of the world to her, if many people found out about it.

"I appreciate the hospitality ma'am, but how did you know?" She asked, looking at all the knick knacks she had inside. Things ranging from tiny porcelain dolls, to creepy ones sitting on higher shelves. She waved to the couple looking and laughing at a couple silly ones. Picking out, bringing it back to grandson who waited outside.

"I just pray he sees them, I don't like thief's." She commented, "Don't you wish to be like the one day?" She grinned, "My grandson is soon to be sixteen, he's cute and charming." Y/n laughed, "I'm 24 ma'am. But I appreciate it. He's far too young for me." Even if that was technically legal. "Hey- Where are you going-" Watching as she went behind a couple curtains, leading to a darker part of the store. "Employees Only" read above the door.

"But you haven't answered me." She spoke, following the elderly lady towards the back of the shop. To where she pointed her to a chair, with one at the opposite side. It was dark, dimly lit. But multiple candles gave it the perfect atmosphere and vibe. "You really do press onto matters, don't you sweetheart." The woman finally stopped being suspicious. "I see you can perceive thoughts of others, yes?" To which Y/n nodded, taking her seat. It was a hot day out, so the fact the woman put the fan onto her, cooled her off quickly. With the lack of voices in her head as well, helped a lot. "It's good you're here then. We've intercepted a prophecy of great destruction."

"We..?" She asked, standing up from her chair. Not necessarily sensing danger but multiple presences.

"It's nothing to worry about dear. They're not real after all. But you see them all the time; don't you?" She asked, as roughly as four grade one curses emerged.

"You don't have our blood. But we share the same common goal." One spoke.

"I haven't seen one that could hold a conversation."
Y/n fully stood up, approaching it. The multiple amalgamations and extra appendages of limbs were apparent. "Broken yet full speech." She commented, noticing that the rest were the same. "I've fixed them." The old lady said, as she patted one. "They work for me now." She added.

"And they keep you unharmed?" Y/n questioned, "Besides, what's our common goal? I doubt we have one." Y/n remarked, not wanting to ever be lumped together with something born to create destruction.

"Peace." One spoke, wrapping its hand around the elder lady's neck. "Even if it's under our conditions." They smiled, bursting her arteries in an instant. "We've laid dormant under that foolish woman for too long. And you're just the host we're looking for."
