It's been several days after my confession of wanting to try to date. Opening one's heart felt so heavy yet dreamy. My friends set me up on my very first date with Micchan's classmate, Yuki-kun, who has quite a free spirit. From what Micchan said, he loves to go on a nature walk, claiming it was his favourite way to destress.
The date was supposed to be at an open garden. A little picnic by the lake to be precise. It was his idea which the trio agreed, claiming it would be romantic: 'light enough for a first date'.
After consulting back and forth with them of what to wear—with a lot of conflicting between themselves—a flowy A-line midi dress was the most voted. Miki suggested to throw in some cardigan if I'm not comfortable with showing much skin.
"Look at how cute you are!", Naruse proudly praise me, "now let me do your makeup."
"Awww.. our Nacchan gonna go to date. What do you think Kazu-kun? Gimme feedback as a man."
"Hmmm... I think she look awesome already.", Kazuha said, "not really my taste, no offense, but definitely eye-catching."
"So what is your taste Kazu-kun?", I followed.
"My taste huh? Someone comfortable in their own skin, or, even better, a gamer. Our first date would be just sit there to play some multiplayer game."
"So that's why you're a damn virgin.", Miki implied, "you'll catch no girls, even boys, with that. You need an upgrade. A mindset upgrade."
"Don't test me you little bitch. I like to keep it that way, thank you.", he snapped back.
"Kazu-kun has a point tho," I pondered. "Your way of socialising may differ from his, Miki, but, painting a whole lie to make someone like you is exhausting, isn't it?"
"I guess that's why people say Kazu-un and Miki are lovers, they love to argue", Micchan tried to diffuse the tension.
"We are never ever ever ever going to be lovers.", they both exclaimed in sync.
"Shush. I need to concentrate on Nacchan's makeup. Reeling in her natural beauty is the key for a longlasting relationship. "

Yuki said I don't have to bring anything, but surely there's something I need to bring to the table, right? Just to be sure... I'll just bring a couple of crombolinis.
The doorbell rang.
Oh. I can feel that my heart is racing.
"He's here, he's here! Now, Nacchan, listen to me. We'll be nearby your spot, text any one of us if you wanted our rescue, but I pray to God that you would enjoy his company.", Naruse exclaimed.
I waved them a goodbye and hurriedly went downstairs.
When mom opened the door, she's surprised to see such an unfamiliar face. Yuki politely introduced himself and said he's there to pick me up, to have a little date.
"What in the actual macaroni? My daughter finally has a boyfriend? I thought she is married to her assignments.", Dad's reaction was priceless.
"Dad... we're yet a thing, stop embarrassing me..."
"Alright, alright, I'll stop the teasing. 'Yuki', huh?", his demeanour became serious, "You bring her out in one piece, happy, and full of sunshine. I expect you to bring her back in one piece, happier, and make her beaming. Got it?"
"Yes, sir. I'll bring her back before dusk.", Yuki turned to me and offers his hand, "are you ready to go?"
With a nod, we proceed to leave my home.
