Iris and Annabeth stand over Percy's bed in the infirmary. He's sleeping. No, he's in a coma? No sleeping. Definitely. Maybe.
I dragged Annabeth in here because I was lonely watching over Percy by myself. I mean starring at the beautiful boy was only eventful for the first few hours.
We stood there, not really talking, scared to wake the boy. But it was better to have someone than no one. Especially because she was the only one awake at this time.
I decide to sit down on a stool, and when I sit I hear Percy stirring in his sleep. I hold my breath, hoping he doesn't wake up. But he does.
"Where am I?"
I don't answer, wanting him to go back to bed.
Annabeth does, "You drool when you sleep."
I smack her arm, telling her to shut up and let him sleep. She rolls her eyes and walks out, leaving me once again with the sleeping boy.
The dream I had was dark. There was the sea, with someone standing in front of it, I couldn't tell who. The wind was blowing like crazy, I was scared a tree was going to snap. Sand was blowing in my face, and the waves were crashing against each other.
I take a few steps forward, blocking my face from the sand. As I get close the person turns around, revealing a teen boy.
I recognize him, but can't put my finger on who it is. He has waves of sandy blonde hair, sea blue eyes, tan seashell skin, and the most crescent shaped smile I've ever seen.
Before I can talk to him though, the wind stops, everything calming. I look around and before I can turn back, he's gone. A soft voice echoing in my head, "One young, one old."
I wake up, my mouth wide open. My head on my hand which is leaning on the bed in front of me.
The daylight is shining through the windowsPercy is still sleeping. I leave him and quietly walk outside, fixing my hair into a quick pony as I do. One thing about me, I have a horrible case of bed head.
The dream isn't even in my mind, I get them a lot and they normally don't mean anything. I forget about them in a week at most.
I find Chiron outside and go up to him, not surprised to see Mr. D and Chiron playing cards. When Mr. D sees me his faint smile fades, and his face shifts into one of fake anger.
"Good morning Mr. D, Chiron."
"Good morning, kiddo." Surprisingly, that came from Mr. D. He's always had a soft spot for me, I don't know why but it's there, even though he tries to hide it. His smile comes back and I chuckle.
"Good morning, Iris." Now that was from Chiron.
"Percy is still sleeping. I'm going to go get some food, if that's okay with you?"
