When Ruby woke up, she found herself in the familiar comfort of her own bed. Oddly, the daylight offered a sense of calm, temporarily shielding her from the looming threats of the night. As she pondered the mysterious man's knowledge about her mother and the unsettling attack in the bathroom, her thoughts spiraled into an overwhelming labyrinth of questions.

Remaining in the same clothes, she contemplated another bag of chips, a mundane decision in the midst of chaos. Downstairs, she noticed a cop car, a sign that her father had been home for days, but his presence didn't register much on her radar.

Tatum appeared outside her window, her pigtails and sympathetic gaze creating an unspoken understanding. As Tatum mentioned a party celebrating Halloween, Ruby's apprehension grew. The idea of a large gathering triggered concerns about the killer's potential presence. Tatum reassured her, asserting that the party was safe, and Cindy's brother offered to take them.

Despite Tatum's attempts to ease Ruby's worries, she couldn't shake the fear that the killer might strike in a crowd or wait for an opportune moment. Tatum urged her to relax, emphasizing that the killer wouldn't likely attack during a party. As Tatum mentioned spending another night together, Ruby reluctantly agreed, realizing there was little she could do to change the situation.

Preparing for the party, the girls left the room, leaving behind the weight of unanswered questions and the looming uncertainty that accompanied the night.
Tatum: Ruby, seriously, you're overthinking this. It's just a party.

Ruby: Tatum, after what happened last night, I can't shake this feeling. What if he's planning something?

Tatum: Trust me, if he wanted to attack, he would've done it already. Besides, it's at my boyfriend's house, and we'll be with a bunch of people.

Ruby: (skeptical) What if the killer is already at the party, waiting for the perfect moment?

Tatum: Ruby, you need to relax. We've got everything under control. Cindy's brother is driving us, and it's going to be fun. Don't let fear ruin it.

Ruby: (reluctantly) Fine, I'll go, but promise me you'll be careful.

Tatum: I promise. It's just a Halloween party. What could go wrong?

Little did they know, the night held secrets that would unravel with the passing hours.
