Beneath The Surface

*Stephanie POV*

I was with my friends and hearing all of their stories and gossiping about everyone at school and I decided to talk to them about what happen yesterday at the library but their answer was unexpected..

"Stop talking about guys!"

"Is it just me or Stephanie is becoming a pickme?"

"Can you stop talking about Elliot and Andrew? Is making me sick!"

And that's their answer, negative answer.

I stopped talking to them as they continue talking. I think I should really avoid talking with Elliot and Andrew since my friends hate when I talk to them and think is so annoying seeing me talking with guys

"I should go now.." I said to my friends

They ignored me and keeps on talking like I didn't exist. I continue walking and I saw an electric bubble gum that can shock people from touching the metal part. I picked it up and decided to cause some trouble since that's the only thing that can make me happy. I heard Andrew calling my name but I ignored him since I promise myself never talk to them at all. 

After School

I went to my home without my friends like always and when I open the front door and saw my brother waiting for me with a very pissed look. He grabbed my bag and check inside.

"Where's that vape you've been using?!" He said, still searching.

"Vape?! I know that I'm a bad student but that doesn't mean I have a vape!" I shouted at my brother accidentally. I cover my mouth and in disbelief cause I never shout at my brother. I looked at my brother and quickly apologize.

"I'm so so-" BANG

My brother hit my head with his wine of bottle and all of the piece shattered into pieces. The blood was dropping from my head as I starts crying and cry and cry really hard. My brother ignored me and continue doing his stuffs.

I grabbed my bag and goes to my room fast and lock the door and push myself on the bed and take my blanket to cover my whole face, not wanting my brother seeing me cried like this. I remember I last cried this hard 2 years ago when my brother killed my parents since they were hurting me.

I opened my phone and starts chatting my friend and act like I'm happy but their response were just negative.. I decided to close my phone and take a quit nap to be free from all of those horrible things happen to me..

Next Day

I make a sandwich for my brother and put it on the plate that is on the dining table before I go to school. I saw the school bus infront of my house as I quickly stuffed every food inside my mouth and grabbed my bag and my project and ride on the school bus and sit next to my friend.

At school I put my project on my desk and ate a piece of bubblegum and throw it on the floor. Andrew saw the rubbish that I threw on the floor and called my name many time to pick it.

"STEPHANIE! STOP IGNORING ME!!" Andrew said, shouting at me

"Leave me alone!" I said and quickly rushed to the girls bathroom and get in one of the stalls and cried in there quietly.

Lesson of this chapter:

People who smiles all the time doesn't mean they had a good life, behind all of that smiles is just wanting to get out of this reality
