ski trip pt.2

Both the families were currently having dinner , they ordered some Italian food to eat in. They were all sitting in the dining room eating.

Walker and y/n still haven't spoke since the argument, there's been a lot of tension.

"Tanner can you pass the salt" y/n asked Tanner who was sitting across from her , Tanner didn't hear her because he was in deep conversation with Mateo.

Walker was next to Tanner so he slid the salt across the table and to y/n , his eyes were on his bowl not looking up.

"Thanks.." she mutters very quietly , Angela , her mom noticed what was going on but couldn't really tell what happened.

"What's up with you two?" She whispered to her daughter that was sitting next to her , "Nothing" she says as she twisted her fork around the last bit of her spaghetti.

She could feel a pair of eyes on her , she looks up and sees Walker quickly looking back down.

She rolls her eyes ,getting up as she picked up her empty bowl and placed it on the sink, storming off upstairs.

"What's up with her.." Mateo blurts out , breaking the silence.

It was now 11:45pm , Leena was asleep but y/n couldn't. She kept thinking about walker and no matter how many times she had tossed and turned or shut her eyes, she just couldn't sleep.

She got up and walked out of the room so she could watch tiktoks without disturbing Leena's sleep.

She was about to go to the living room until she saw Mateo and Tanner there sleeping on the two couches.

They must've fell asleep watching a movie since it was still playing , she turns the movie off and pulls the blanket on Tanner since it was slightly falling off of him.

She was about to go back to her room since the living room was clearly occupied but she stops herself in front of the boys room.

The door was already opened, she  saw Walker there playing Fortnite. She decided to go talk to him since now felt like the right time.

She walks in , "Hey" she says as she shut the door behind her. "Oh, hi" he responds as he quickly took his headset off.

He seemed to be in the middle of a game but he didn't hesitate to turn his PlayStation off immediately when he saw her.

"We need to talk" she tells him as she joined him on the corner of his bed.

"Of course , yeah" he nods his head , "I'm really sorry , I was definitely the one in the wrong here I should've told you about him" she apologizes.

"No , it's okay I shouldn't have gotten all up in your business like that. I respect your privacy I was just so used to knowing everything about your life" he explains.

"No , the whole school knew it's my fault I'm really really sorry. He was a douche anyway and I dumped him , you can't really find many good men these days" She says , making eye contact with him at the last part.

"It's okay, I forgive you y/n. And you deserve better than that" He smiles softly.

"Yeah, teenage boys scare me.. not you tho. You're different" She grins.

"You were definitely raised right , you're a good man Walker" She adds on, "Thanks y/n" he thanks her, smiling.

"Part of the reason why I didn't really tell you about him.." she mutters as she looked down , "What? Why is that the reason" he said confused.

She looks back up at him , "I didn't really like the boy.. the thing with him only happened because I felt pressured to do it. And I didn't wanna tell you about him because I like you.. like like you. So I didn't want you to get the wrong message just in case you also.. liked me" she finishes her rant.

"Oh" he says , "I'm sorry- I know this will ruin things and I know you don't like me back .."

"Y/n.." he spoke.

"I just wanted to get it off my chest because it was killing me and..

"Y/n" he repeats

"I've liked you for so long but I can't keep it in me anymore" she ends

"Y/n!" Walker said, "I have been in love with you ever since the first grade, ever since I knew what love was I felt it with you"

"What..?" She breathes out , "It's true, mom always knew. That's why she always jokes about us ending up together, because she knew that's what ive always wanted to happen" he said.

He gently grasps her chin, pulling her in for a short and sweet kiss.

They both pulled away , blushing and smiling like two idiots.

"Goodnight Walker" she gets up , giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before making her way back to her room.
