"  okay  ,  can  someone  please  fucking  explain  why  we're  going  to  the  police  station  ?  "  rory  broke  the  silence  as  they  all  walked  together  on  the  sidewalk  .  "  you  seriously  have  no  idea  what's  going  on  ?  "  mindy  looked  at  the  short  brunette  .  "  no  ,  of  course  not  .  i  never  listen  to  you  guys  anyway  ...  well  ...  now  i'm  listening  .  "  lorelei  waved  her  hands  around  as  she  spoke  in  a  sassy  tone  .

"  you're  aware  that  we  were  apart  of  the  5th  and  6th  ghostface  massacre  ?  "  the  short  girl  nodded  .  "  well  ,  looks  like  that  motherfucker  is  back  .  "  mindy  muttered  .  "  well  ,  why  ?  i  mean  ...  why  would  someone  want  to  hurt  you  guys  ...  again  ?  and  who  ?  "  lorelei  furrowed  her  eyebrows  .  "  we  don't  know  that  ,  rory  .  "  chad  sighed  .

"  well  ,  who  was  it  last  time  ?  "

"  mine  and  tara's  roommate  ,  quinn  .  chad's  roommate,  ethan  and  detective  bailey  .  they  ended  up  being  related  to  my  crazy  ex  boyfriend  ,  richie  ,  who  was  ghostface  in  the  fifth  massacre  and  i  killed  him  .  so  they  wanted  to  get  revenge  and  kill  us  all  .  "  sam  explained  .

"  don't  forget  about  elodie  .  she  was  the  craziest  one  of  them  all  .  "  chad  scratched  the  back  of  his  neck  ,  frustrated  that  he  had  to  possibly  deal  with  this  trauma  all  over  again  .  "  who's  elodie  ?  "

"  she's  not  important  .  "  kat  said  bluntly  ,  making  everyone  stare  at  her  .  it  was  awfully  quiet  for  the  next  minute  or  so  as  they  kept  walking  .  "  kat  ...  you  should  tell  her  .  i  mean  ,  elodie  was  very  important  ...  and  you  were  the  closest  to  her  .  "

katerina  then  sighed  shakily  "  elodie  was  my  roommate  .  i  always  thought  she  was  just  a  little  weird  and  different  ...  but  i  liked  her  .  i  didn't  expect  her  to  want  to  kill  me  and  my  friends  .  "  kat  felt  like  crying  whenever  she  thought  about  elodie  .  sure  the  other  three  hurt  her  and  traumatized  her  ,  but  with  elodie  it  was  different  .  elodie  meant  something  to  her  ...  until  she  betrayed  her  .  elodie  was  everything  to  kat  .  kat  never  knew  if  elodie  felt  the  same  though  due  to  her  emotionless  personality  and  her  lack  of  commitment  to  the  people  closest  to  her  .  sometimes  since  that  night  ,  two  years  ago  ,  katerina  would  lay  in  bed  ,  curled  up  into  a  little  ball  while  wearing  one  of  elodie's  sweaters  ,  that  she  keeps  hidden  in  her  closet  ,  and  cry  her  heart  out  .  everyone  knew  how  much  elodie  meant  to  kat  .  everyone  except  for  rory  .  she  didn't  want  her  girlfriend  to  know  that  at  some  point  in  her  life  she  was  in  love  with  her  serial  killer  roommate  .

"  but  elodie  wasn't  like  the  other  three  ghostfaces  ...  she  was  different  ...  scarier  ...  more  dangerous  .  she  wasn't  even  involved  with  them  at  all  .  she  did  it  all  on  her  own  .  for  fun  .  "  her  bottom  lip  quivered  .  "  she  didn't  do  it  for  revenge  or  to  get  something  out  of  it  ...  she  was  just  psychotic  .  i  mean  she  was  a  cannibal  too  !  she  was  fucking  crazy  !  "  she  forced  a  smile  on  her  face  as  she  held  back  tears  .  "  kat  ,  you  don't  have  to  continue  .  "  chad  put  a  hand  on  the  girl's  shoulder  .  "  i  mean  ,  i  knew  that  ...  she  was  a  murderer  .  i  just  couldn't  get  myself  to  hate  her  .  "

"  kat  .  that's  enough  .  "

"  she  even  tried  to  kill  me  ,  but  i  still  loved  her  .  i  still  think  i  could  never  get  myself  to  hate  her  .  "

"  kat  .  "

she  finally  stopped  talking  and  realized  she  was  crying  .  she  wiped  the  tears  from  her  cheeks  ,  her  breathing  heavy  .  she  felt  like  her  throat  was  closing  up  .  that  was  the  same  feeling  she  felt  when  elodie  was  on  top  her  ,  her  right  hand  tightly  wrapped  around  her  neck  while  the  other  stabbed  her  in  the  abdomen  .  "  kat  ,  are  you  okay  ?  "  mindy  looked  at  her  ,  worry  in  her  brown  eyes  .  "  baby  ,  what's  wrong  ?  "  lorelei  wrapped  a  protective  arm  around  her  shoulder  .

"  kat  ?  "  the  whole  group  looked  at  her  with  concern.  "  kat  !  "  they  all yelled  in  unison  when  the  girl  suddenly  collapsed  ,  falling  forward  into  mindy's  arms  .
