Trey's POV
I stare at myself in the mirror as I straighten out my coral bow tie. The black tux is already bothering me. I guess being the best man has it's ups and downs."It's almost time." One of the workers tell us outside the door.
I turn and nod my head. I sigh and check my Rolex for the time. It's already 12:30. 30 minutes till showtime. I can't believe August is finally getting married.
I walk over to August and put my hand in his shoulder. This guy is practically my brother. He hasn't stopped smiling all morning.
"You ready man?" I ask him.
"Hell yeah. I'm scared as hell, but I want this." He tells me while rubbing his hands together.
I truly believe him.
"All right. Let's get out of here and head to the church." I tell him.
Fabian, Chris, Forrest, and Melly are already in the limousine when we get downstairs. Choosing his groomsmen wasn't so challenging for August. All of this reminds me of my baby, Genevieve. I know she yearns for this, but I'm holding back. On what? I don't know.
She sends me a text, saying,"I love you. Just letting you know."
She's probably emotional as fxck now. Seeing her best friend get married off is probably making her think of our relationship. Lord knows these past 5 months have been a little rough on me. She hasn't forced me to give her a ring, but she has been restricting me from doing things to her because I haven't put a ring on it.
Genevieve's POV
The ceremony went by pretty smooth. The vows had me bawling out in tears. Almost everyone in the audience shed tears on top of basically all the bridesmaids. I peep Trey wiping his eyes, and I smile at him. Audree and August cried as they read their vows. So, basically, everyone cried.
Post ceremony, August and Audree drove to the reception grounds in their private car, so that left the court to the two limos. Trey grabs my hand and forces me to the limo with all the dudes.
"Just switch. Everyone is hopping limos." He tells me noticing my reluctance.
In the limo, Chris and Nicki sit next to each other, and Fabian is chilling. I guess Trey is right.
"I wonder who's next." Fabian asks out of no where.
Trey and I look at each other and smile. I look back at Fabian and say,
"Could be you, bro." I tell him.
He looks at me with disgust and says," I don't have time for females now. I'm too busy with my career."
I roll my eyes. This boy and the NBA.
"Is your voice ready?" I ask Trey while intertwining his fingers into mine.
Trey, Chris, and August are gonna do a trio at the reception. I never heard the song, but I already know it will be great.
"Yes, baby." He responds and squeezes my hand.
We arrive at the mansion's beautiful grounds a couple minutes later. With its 103 acres of forests and fields, it's so romantic. Trey takes my hand so we can make the entrance with the rest of the wedding party.
An hour later, the reception officially begins. Speeches are said, and toasts are made. The air is light with laughter and happiness. Trey glances at me from across the table from time to time and winks at me. I blush like a little girl every time.
"And now we'll have the groom and his two good friends, Tremaine and Christopher, sing a song." The host says through a mic.
They all stand up and make their way to the stage as we applaud and cheer. Trey looks so fine in that tux. His butt is a ten.
