Pokémon Ranger: The Loudest Goth on an Adventure

Chapter 5

The year passed by quickly, with only a day to go until she earned her Pokemon, Lucy had a feeling of nervousness rush through her, she felt as if she drank 5 energy drinks. For some reason she had a bad feeling about this upcoming year, she felt as if something bad would happen, but for once she brushed it off, as she had been wrong many times.

Staring at the ceiling, Lucy recalls her first year at this academy, she had avoided her teacher as best as she could, she knew that there was something off about them, there were also strange things that had happened. Like things catching fire by her teacher, Ms.Takanashi. She also got into a fight with that fat prick that sat near her on the first day of school, he had tried to force her work onto her. When she refused he tried to threaten her by saying he would hurt Collei.

Lucy had snapped and beat him to a bloody pulp, and ended up getting arrested but got out quickly because someone had paid the bail she had, but for some reason they didn't put it on her record. She never knew who bailed her out that day. The sad thing is that the snob didn't get expelled but for some reason the boy was on thin ice, apparently he did something bad.

Looking over, Lucy sees that Collei is asleep with her blanket at her waist. She lets out a sigh and get up, out of her bed, and heads over to Collei. Once she gets to Collei she pulls the blanket up to Collei's shoulder before she checks the time. It was 11:52 at night, yet Lucy was still awake. Lucy heads to the bathroom and opens the cabinet, grabbing out melatonin. She opened the bottle and grabbed two gummies, before plopping them in her mouth and chewing it.

Lucy heads back to bed but is stopped when she hears shuffling for Collei's bed, Lucy glanced over to Collei only to see her awake and staring at Lucy with concern. Lucy wonders how she woke Collei up, she was as quiet as a mouse. Collei gets up from her bed before walking over to Lucy, she stops in front of Lucy, looking her in the eyes.

Collei:" What are you doing awake? We have to wake up early tomorrow." Lucy lets out a sigh, Her and Collei got closer throughout the year here, to the point where Collei was comfortable with physical contact with Lucy. They only did physical contact when they're alone, Collei was not comfortable having physical contact in public, Lucy was also not comfortable with it.

"Well, I guess I am just anxious. I don't know what type of Pokemon I will have. I tried going to sleep but I just couldn't." Collei let out a hum before thinking about how to help Lucy, she could see right through Lucy's mask, she can somehow tell what emotions Lucy is feeling even when she has a neutral face. Lately she saw that Lucy was more tired than normal, and guessed that she was having trouble sleeping, and searched up ways that she could help. The answer she got was a bit embarrassing, Collei grabbed Lucy's arm and dragged her to her bed, before laying down on the bed. "How about you sleep beside me? I heard that sleeping next to someone helps with their anxiety." Lucy shrugged, it wasn't embarrassing to sleep beside your friend when you are tired.

Lucy climbed into Collei's bed and laid down next to her. She closes her eyes and not even a few seconds later Lucy falls asleep. Collei lets out a small chuckle before going to sleep as well, happy that she helped her friend. It was lucky that Collei got Lucy to sleep, because the next day was not going to go as the principal wanted.

It was also the day that Lucy wouldn't forget for a long time, a day that changes everything. The same goes for the other rangers in training, well at least those that actually passed. Sadly somehow some of the snobs passed, to the teachers and Lucy's anger. She was going to keep Collei safe from them, they seem to have it out for Lucy ever since she beat up the prick that threatened to hurt Collei.
