Win's mother instilled in him a powerful mantra that echoed through his life: "Show me your friends, and I'll tell you your future."

Since his elementary school days, this wisdom became a guiding principle for Win. He internalized the idea that the individuals he chose to surround himself with would shape not only his present but also his future.

Recognizing the profound influence of one's social circle, Win learned to value the importance of meaningful connections and to be mindful of the impact his chosen companions could have on the trajectory of his life. This philosophy became a compass steering him through the complex journey of relationships, emphasizing the significance of choosing companions who align with his values and aspirations.

"If you want to aim high, you have to surround yourself with like-minded people."

And so he did.

Before long, Win crossed paths with Art, a bright kid whose mother was a renowned designer. This friendship exposed Win to fashion, significantly influencing his personal style and shaping how he was perceived in elite social circles.

Building on his connection with Art, Win also became friends with Benz, a rebellious guy whose parents held prominent positions in the legal and law enforcement sectors. Benz's mother was a successful lawyer, and his father held a high-ranking position in the police force.

During his college years, Win set his sights on Todd, the wealthiest student sharing the same major. As the heir to a second-generation company, Todd represented the pinnacle of success that Win aspired to achieve.

Being friends with Todd turned out to be more challenging than Win had anticipated. At first they got along well enough, sharing notes from classes and sometimes meeting in the library to study. And Todd seemed like good-enough company.

Benz and Art could be irritating sometimes, constantly flaunting their wealth in his face. And they definitely were mocking him behind his back, but he could handle that. Entitled, spoiled brats. But Todd...

One incident that stood out was when Win, already running late for class, accidentally spilled juice on Todd's laptop. Anticipating frustration, Win was taken aback when Todd simply remarked, "It's okay. I can buy a new one."

This nonchalant response struck a chord, making Win realize that Todd's perception of financial matters differed significantly from his own.

Todd's casual attitude towards wealth and possessions, while unintentional, started to wear on Win. With his expensive car, tailored suits, and vacation homes...

Win knew he made the right decision to keep Todd close despite it all as Todd managed to secure Win an internship at his father's company.

Over the years, Win began to feel that, despite Win befriending Todd for ulterior motives, a semblance of genuine friendship had developed between them. In particular, during the stressful finals period, they found themselves spending extended days at Todd's house, poring over textbooks and preparing for exams.

But with Todd assuming the role of CEO following his father's passing, the dynamics of their relationship underwent a significant shift. It was no longer Todd and Win working day and night together to impress the higher ups.

Now, it was Mr. Todd, the boss, a superior figure giving orders and making decisions. Even though Todd appointed Win as his personal assistant, there was an undeniable change in the air.
