".. Y/n?"
The soft voice whispered out, and I recognized it immediately, quickly turning around and my eyes went wide with both relief and worry. I made fast steps towards her before kneeling down, placing my hands on her shoulders as I made sure she wasn't injured badly.
I then pulled her into an embrace. "Ashley.. I was so fucking worried about you.. did they do anything to you? Can you remember anything?" I asked as I pulled away, looking her in the eye as I sensed her fear.
She was shaking and looked back down at the ground, knees pressed to her chest as her breathing was almost erratic, obviously still trying to process everything that happened. Poor thing.. I sighed and I raised her head up and gave a warm smile. "Hey.. It's okay, I'm still here. You aren't alone." I gently said to her, trying to provide comfort.
Ashley slowly nods, but her trembling is still noticeable as she spoke. "I.. I don't know. All I remember is blacking out and then waking up in this room. Then I heard these whispers.. Y/n, I don't know what to do. We don't know what to do. There's no one to help.. I can't even call anybody since my phone isn't on me anymore.." She was traumatized. Who wouldn't be?
I then placed my hands on her knees. "Look.. I know there's not much we could do. But for now, let's just try and focus on finding a way out and surviving. There has to be a way out, there just has to." I reassured, looking around the room.. hm..
She shook her head. "There's nothing here.. it's just an old, dusty room. I mean, at least there's light? But still, this place sends shivers down my spine." She said as she also looked around before she noticed me looking out the window.
Y/n then shifted her gaze to Ashley. "Hey.. maybe we can smash this window open and jump out? I mean.. we might die, but it's better than staying here." I suggested and I saw the girl's expression turn into a blank expression.
Ashley just stared before she laughed a bit. ".. Are you serious?" She asked, her tone full of humor and teasing. Y/n raised a brow. "What? I mean, I can jump down and then catch yo-" Ashley then cut me off.
"No way! This is like.. a fifteen foot drop, Y/n. I don't think that's possible. And there's no way that I'm going to jump out the window. Even if it means dying here." She said as she looked out the window and down at the ground. I shrugged.
