6. Hard loss

After arguing with Georgia and her two annoying bodyguards for nearly thirty minutes, I agreed on going to the Beating dungeon. It was a nice club and I also accepted that,but my bestfriend had no idea what kind of life I was living behind the shadows.
"I'll get us a table." Georgia said before diving into the crowd. I had never entered this club as Nora. Only as Malti. I hesitated for a second. "What's the problem?" Aiden asked behind me and I sighed. "Nothing." I answered before pushing through the crowd and searching for Georgia. She'd picked a perfect booth,a but far from the ruckus in a secluded corner.
She was already seated and her excitement was over the top. I wont deny,I'm a drinker,but a maintenance one. I dont over drink and only go as safe as I can. "Bucket list." Georgia sang and I opened my phone. 'DRINK FIFTEEN BOTTLES TONIGHT.' I turned to her with a questioning look. "Are you sure about this?" I was mainly worried for her. Especially because she was going home with boys. Just pointing out facts.
No time for questions because she had already made the order. I was still confused as to how she hadn't maxed out her card by now. I thought when she said fifteen she meant each of us,but atleast she meant both of us. Besides we had company so it wouldn't be so hard. Two bottles down and Georgia was getting high. "Can I tell y'all something. I absolutely hate you two. It's because of people like you that I absolutely hate guys." She said in a slurred voice and I arched a brow. "So you tell me. Why do you hate my bestfriend so much?" She asked and Aiden smirked. "If we told you you'd also hate her alot." I didn't like where this was going. "Are you crazy? I love her,she's the closest thing I have to a big sister." Those words had an effect on me. Almost brought tears to my eyes. "Did you know she is an underground wrestler?" Aiden asked and I stomped his foot. "Ow!" He exclaimed before i caught Georgia staring at me with a questioning look. "Come on I know Nora is aggressive but wrestling. No." She defended and I turned to Aiden who just shrugged. "
Slowly,I also started to get high and decided to stop a bit. "Daniel has anyone ever told you how cute you are?" Georgia asked and Daniel arched a brow. "You're drunk." He answered and she giggled. "Come on let's go,I'll teach you how to dance." She tugged at his arm but he wouldn't budge. "No I can't,I have two left feet."he defended. "And I have two right feet,perfect match." She answered and pulled him away.
"Well more drinks for us." I sang pouring myself another shot before gulping it all down. "You're not drinking? I asked Aiden who shook his head. "I have to drive you all home." He answered and I rolled my eyes. Now acting responsible after almost killing me a day ago.
"Can I tell you something?" He asked and I nodded. "The only reason we came along with Geaorgia was because of Daniel's insistence. He has a thing for your bestfriend." I stared at him for a while before smirking. "You expect me to believe that shit. You hate Georgia,ever since she knocked you the hard way." I retorted. At first it's what I believed until I noticed his expression. Serious. "I said Daniel likes her,not me." He explained and I sighed. "Wrong choice." I muttered and he arched a brow. "Why?" He asked. I had never told anyone. Neither did I plan to tell anyone but I was too high to even contemplate my thoughts. "Well,Georgia is........" I started and paused to take another shot. "Georgia's lesbian." I uttered out and took another gulp. "That's interesting." He muttered and I arched a brow. I was too lost in my own world.

Monday came by too fast,in fact Sunday went by like a blur. I woke up late and had to get ready very fast. I opened my closet and picked out the first thing I saw. My grey bomber jacket,white crop top, cropped boyfriend Jeans and a pair of ankle sneakers. That'll do. Monday has never been my day, in fact bad things always happened on Monday. I once got covered in paint when I walked into a school prank. It was a Monday.
I arrived school late. The bell had already gone and everyone was in class. I rushed to my class of the day. Physics,my favourite subject. I loved the subject because I never had a problem with calculations and all.
The lesson was going well until someone came in the class. It was Ms. Harriet. She was our art teacher and I loved her for how well she taught. However she looked a bit tensed. "Nora Santiago." She called and my eyes went wide. I was confused. I'm not much of a trouble maker,though it always finds me. "You're needed by the principal." That aroused whispers in the classroom. What would've happened to have me called in by the big man.
I got up and followed Ms. Harriet to the office. I hope I'm not getting expelled, suspended or having my parents called in. When I got to the office though,I was shocked to find Georgia and her parents in the office. "Mr. and Mrs. Hills?" I asked and their heads snapped in my direction. Georgia's eyes were bloodshot and her dad looked furious. "Everything alright?" I asked but the principal called for my attention.
"Ms. Santiago. There's something we need to talk to you about." He explained and I arched a brow. "We have rules in this institution and they govern all its activities. According to one of our trustworthy sources,Ms. Hills over here and Ms. Harriet...." he paused and I prayed hard that it wasn't what I thought it was. "The look on your face says it." The principal concluded and I arched a brow. "I'm lost." I answered. I turned to Georgia,never had I been okay with her sexuality, she had actually announced it to me a year ago. I wasn't fine with it but I had to handle it to protect a sixteen year old friendship. "Georgia had an affair with her teacher and is going to get suspended,anyone related to this case goes with her did you know about it?" Mr. Hills explained and I turned to Georgia. "She didnt know. She had no idea I was les... " Georgia hadn't spoken up when Ms. Hills shot up from her seat and cut her off. "Don't you dare utter that cursed word." She warned and Georgia flinched. "I'm sorry Nora. You can go back to class." I looked back at Georgia who gestured for me to leave.
Her parents were rich,she could manage a suspension, but she knew exactly where I'd end up if I got suspended. I couldn't believe this. Losing my bestfriend, so easily.

I got out of the office with tears pricking my eyes. I pulled out my phone and opened the Falcon blog. To my shock,I found the whole incident roaming the site. I could only suspect one person. My blood boiled as my anger fueled up.
I stormed into the calculus class and barged in. "You heartless scoundrel!" I snapped before my eyes landed on Aiden seated at the corner of the classroom. "Ms. Santiago?" The teacher asked and I turned to him. "Don't even start right now!" I snapped and he went numb. I was about to attack Aiden when someone pulled me back by the hair. "Let me go!" I snapped before I noticed who was holding me. Daniel Frost. It's like these two had made it their lives' mission to ruin mine. "Don't you think you overreact sometimes?" He asked before pushing me away and my back connected with the wall. I couldn't do this,dad always said, dont fight with anger on your mind. I got up and stormed out of the classroom.

I couldn't return to class like this. Georgia's name had been tainted all over the school blog and I was sure with how strict her parents were,it was a zero point zero one chance of her actually coming back. I went to the gymnasium and sat down leaned against a wall and hugged my legs burying my face in my knees. I rarely cried so yeah,I was pretty hurt today. Mostly because I was the sole reason my bestfriend was actually suffering and it was impossible for me to actually erase that.
"Why are you crying now? Is it guilt or actual sorrow?" That stupid voice. I rubbed my face on my legs to get rid of the tears and looked up at the guy who had ruined my life. "Don't glare,your eyes may fall out." He taunted before squatting down to where I was. "This.." he gestured at my face and smirked. "I like it a lot. Keep doing it and I'll have lots of fun." He added. I clutched my fists in annoyance. Couldn't he even leave me to grieve in peace? "What was Georgia's fault in this? She did nothing wrong. Your stupid beef is with me asshole!" I snapped and he chuckled before getting up. "Let's be real,that girl ticks me off each time I see her,she's aggressive just like you. Ms Harriet on the other hand, I hate her. She's too good to everyone and rude to me so........she had to go." He explained and I arched a brow. "Besides Georgia is connected to you. I had to do something about that." My heart clenched at hearing this. Georgia was my reason to come to school everyday,now she was gone. "This isnt over Santiago. You're crying in secret. I want you to cry in public." Yet again I ask. What in the hell bent world did I do to this guy?
