this is the fourth time i completely rewrote this chapter from scratch and i still dont like how it came outtt but this ones been rattling around in my brain for so long and i need to get this out my system before i lose kt

kay so the premise is that one day luni in a fit of frustration just. left, abandoning her all creations (its like when a project just isnt coming along at all for whatever reason so you just say fuck it and start over. its that but with. actual living breathing beings. man isnt luni such a good person in this au /s)

lilith. doesnt take this well

ill probably get into her in a separate chapter since this ones already taking way too long to write but the gist is initially shes in denial but it eventually dawns on her that lunis never coming back which is when she gets contacted by Guess Who and agrees to join his movement before tracking down and killing off luni herself. she ends up becoming a kind of propagandist/recruiter for the solarians.

and at fist this was the end of it. but then i decided to expand the cast a bit more. so now we also have luna nova summoner and probably vinyl(? i dunno im considering it)

so. now that lunis kicked the bucket the luniverse is, well, dying which very much exacerbates that pesky corruption problem. which is where all the other dipshits come in (gm seems to imply the worlds just. explode whenever the creator dies but i prefer to think of it slowly withering away like a neglected vivarium or smth)

ill start w luna first cause youve probably already put together why shes here. afterall whats happened to her isnt that different from what happened to sol himself... or at least what she thinks happened, but you know who cares about that right? (lilith carefully omits the part where luni... isnt available and just sics luna on dice. i mean its not entirely a lie i suppose)

when it comes to nova, while the faction war is going on a famine starts in the yellow faction as hes waging his big stupid expensive ass war and fighting on like 4 fucking fronts. tensions rise till hes eventually ousted from power and wouldve probably been arrested and/or executed if not for the intervention of the hashtag female manipulator herself. and well i imagine hes already p easy to manipulate with how insecure and desperate to be seen as capable/heroic he is, let alone now that hes corrupted

now, in vinyl city, phantom succeds in his plan to destroy all of humanity. vinyl dies in the coma, however (as per my last hc) he gets revived thanks to his connection to the ultimate record. hes approached by lilith and, although he doesnt really trust her at all, he figures its best to join these 'solarians' ...at least for now. besides his entire life is now nothing but a decaying carcass... what else can he do now really...?
