You finally reach room 210. The door was propped open, so you stepped in, holding your binder and notebooks nervously.

You quickly scanned the room for anyone, only seeing a blonde woman, which you presumed to be Miss Blanchett, sitting at her desk, her feet propped up on it while she held her classroom phone to her ear.

"I don't know how many students will show up, Jen. You know kids nowadays. If they don't have to do it, they won't-.."

She glanced over at you, a soft smile coating her pink lips.
You felt your stomach turn strangely as she stared at you. She whispered something into the phone before setting it down.

She took her feet off the desk, smoothing her skirt before she stood up.
She walked towards you, her hips swaying back and fourth, almost like a trance.

You, without thinking, stared at her hips as she walked, her arms swinging slightly.

As she closed the distance between you two, you felt your ears grow hot, her mouth opening to speak.

"Hello there,"

She said softly, an Australian accent evident in her elegant voice.
She stuck her hand out, offering it to you.

You stood there blankly for a moment before quickly setting your books down on a nearby table, reluctantly take her soft, pale hand in your sweaty one.

She shook it firmly before releasing your hand, stepping back, leaning on a table.

"So.. what's your name, newbie?"

She said with a smirk, crossing her arms.
She played with her heel, waiting for you to answer. She flicked the back of her foot in and out of it with ease. You thought the heels must be too big for her.

"Oh, uhm.. my names Y/N L/N,"

You said abruptly, making yourself grimace at your lack of elegance, compared to her, anyway.

You tucked your hands into your pockets, rubbing your thumb against the cloth of your jeans.

She smiled softly, glancing away into the distance.

"Y/n. That's a very pretty name,

She spoke, still staring at something in the classroom.

You gulped, your throat feeling abnormally dry.

"Why.. are there no other students here?"

You said, glancing at the clock up high on the tall walls of the abnormally large room.

She sighed, a soft smile still on her face.

"This is just an introduction period. There's no actual classes today. There's no other students here, because those nuisances don't care to meet any of their teachers,"

She said with another sigh, her soft smile turning into a slight frown as she uncrossed her arms, resting her palms on the table behind her.

You nodded, even though you knew she wasn't paying much attention to you, physically anyway.

"So.. what is an introduction period?"

You say softly, afraid the question was too simple of an answer for her to take it seriously.

Surprisingly, she answered with her normal grace, no hint of annoyance in her voice.

"It's just a little introduction, meet the teacher, yes?"

She said, finally looking at you again, here eyes scanning your body for a moment before looking into your eyes.

"Right. So... is the introduction period still.. erm, occurring?"
