James saw her again. It felt as though it'd been years, even though their time apart had only amounted to two measly years. Everything was different now, though. He had more people to fall back on; he had his band and his music to turn to. She didn't haunt him anymore.
And there she was, walking on the other side of the street, a guy by her side. Typical, he thought. She always had one of those, even back then. His phone rang in the pocket of his trousers. Not taking his eyes off of her retreating figure, he walked faster to keep up and pressed the phone to his ear after accepting the call.
"Mate, where the hell are ya," he heard Tristan say, agitation clear in his voice, "You were supposed to be at the studio an hour ago."
"Sorry, but something came up, I can't make it," he replied, burning a hole into her back as he quickens his steps, "I'll call you lads later, give my apologies to the boys, yeah?"
He hung up the phone without hearing a reply, intent on following the girl. He felt a burning rage erupt in him; a rage he hadn't felt since that day. Since the day she broke him. He felt nothing but hate towards her now.
At least, that's what he told himself every time he found himself wondering about her. About her life or the little dog she'd had since she was four. About how her mother must be happily married to the man of her dreams by now. He was always regretful he couldn't attend her wedding. She quite liked him, and he her.
He wondered what she was doing here, in London; why she was away from her hometown. She used to always tell him she'd never leave; that that little place was all she could ever hope for. Why was she here? And why did he, of all people, have had to come across her.
Fate must have had a sense of humor. Because now, all James wanted was revenge. No matter how childish he sounded, he didn't care. You know the saying, "What goes around comes around?" He was going to come back at full force. And he was going to start with that little arm candy of hers.
"I'm going to make you regret ever crossing me," he whispered beneath his breath, eyes steely on her.
This is my first Vamps fan fiction so I'm just trying to test the waters. I'm going to write a story about each member though so there's a lot more to look forward to! -Kayla Xx
