Spider-Man 2099: You are done, Joker!
Joker: I don't think so.
(The Joker draws his gun and tries to shoot Spider-Man 2099, who dodges and shoots his spinneret, but The Joker dodges and runs as Spider-Man 2099 chases after him while dodging his bullets. The clown catches a citizen and holds her as a hostage, but Spider-Man uses his spinneret to pull her off him and catch her as he proceeds to punch his left eye, and pierces his shoulders with his talons, as The Joker grunts.)
Joker: Are you out of your mind?
Spider-Man 2099: Who do you think I am? Batman?
Joker: At least he plays nice.
(He runs into the House of Mirrors as he shoots and kills anyone standing in his way before holding a kid as a hostage.)
Joker: (smirks) Don't leave in such a rush.
(The Joker starts shooting again, bur Spider-Man 2099 dodges the bullet. The Joker proceeds through the House of Mirrors.)
Kid: (stern) Don't underestimate Spider-Man 2099. He's gonna kick your ass, just like Batman once did.
Joker: He's gonna have to go through you first.
(Spider-Man 2099 shows up as his reflexion are seen in the mirrors.)
Spider-Man 2099: Let the boy go, clown!
(The Joker shoots the mirror, and then the real Spider-Man 2099 tackles The Joker as the kid runs away. He punches the clown twice before being tackled as he kicks him away. But once he gets up, The Joker shoots him in the gut, wounding him as he runs away. Once The Joker leaves the House of Mirrors, Motoko Kusanagi comes in.)

Motoko: (aims her gun) Freeze!
(The Joker raises his hands as he suddenly shows a knife he tries to stab her, but she dodges his attack, and then notices Spider-Man 2099 coming out of the House of Mirrors as he tries to shoot him, but he dodges and kicks Motoko before rushing to a tunnel, where he kills several couples as Spider-Man 2099 keeps chasing after him. As The Joker keeps going on a killing spree, Spider-Man 2099 finally catches him as he shoves his gun away before punching him three times as he throws him against the wall.)
Spider-Man 2099: Like I said, you're done!
(He then knees and punches The Joker's chin.)
Spider-Man 2099: All those people you killed for no reason!
(Spider-Man 2099 grabs The Joker by the collar, but the latter pulls out another knife and tries to stab the former until he slashes his chest and tackles him.)
Joker: Too bad Batman isn't here.
Spider-Man 2099: Please, I'm no Robin!
(The Joker is about to stab Spider-Man 2099, who grabs the arm with the knife and struggles until he punches his face before throwing him away and slamming his face on the wall. The Joker then pulls out another knife and stabs Spider-Man 2099 in the gut, only for the latter to grab his neck and pull the lower half of his mask as he bites his neck, paralyzing him. Batman and Motoko come in as the latter goes to help Spider-Man 2099 up.)
Motoko: Are you alright?
Spider-Man 2099: (grunts) Sort of...
Motoko: (smiles) Thank goodness.
(She kisses his cheek while Batman checks on The Joker while glaring at him.)
Batman: Looks like you almost made him cross the line, didn't you, Joker?
(Batman then lifts and carries The Joker's paralyzed body before taking it to the GCPD Van. The chapter ends with Motoko taking Spider-Man 2099 to her house as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy secretly follow them.)
