It was Saturday morning, and Harry, Louis, and Lucy were at Niall's house packing Louis' things into boxes. He didn't have much to pack so they were done in a couple of hours...

"Daddy, I'm hungry," Lucy murmured, "We should have some snacks in the fridge she can have," Louis told the taller, "Can I have a snack, Daddy?" Harry smiled, "Of course, love," she smiled and hugged the green-eyed man.

Once they were back home, Louis had to leave for work, and now it was just Harry and Lucy...

"Daddy?" Harry sat on the the couch and Lucy sat next to him and cuddled into his side, "I don't like it when Lou Lou calls me she and I don't like it when you call me princess or girl," Harry hugged her gently. "Okay, do you have an idea why you don't like it?" Lucy shrugged, "Don't know, just don't like it, Daddy,"

"That's alright, love, is there something else you would like to be called?" Lucy shrugged, "Don't know," Harry kissed Lucy's forehead, "That's okay... maybe you're nonbinary," Lucy looked at the green-eyed man, "What does that mean?"

"It just means that you don't like being called a girl or a boy and you don't like words that girls or boys are usually called," Lucy nodded, "Does that make sense, love bug?" he asked, "Yeah," Harry kissed their temple, "And instead of saying something like 'she goes to school' someone would say 'they go to school' so instead of using words like she or he, someone would use they to describe a person,"

Lucy nodded, "Would you like me to say they instead of she when I talk about you?" Lucy nodded, "I like that better, Daddy," The tall man nodded. "Alright, bubs, thank you for telling me, love," they smiled at the green-eyed man and hugged him, "Thank you, Daddy,"

"Of course, do you to tell Louis or do you want me to?" Lucy thought for a moment before pointing at him, "Can you tell Lou Lou?" Harry nodded, "Of course, Lucy, and if you ever have any questions you can always talk to me, or Louis if you feel comfortable, okay?"

"Thank you Daddy, love you," Harry smiled, "I love you too, honey,"

Once Louis was back home, Lucy was already asleep in their bed, "Lou, Lucy wanted me to tell you something," Louis looked at him, "Yeah?" he said as he sat on the couch and took his shoes off. "Lucy told me that they don't want to be referred to with she/her pronouns anymore, they told me that they want to use they/them pronouns instead, they wanted me to tell you when you got home,"

Louis smiled, "Alright, that's fine," Harry smiled at him, "Okay, good, I told them that they could always ask you or me questions if they had any," Louis smiled, "Of course, and Haz you are such a great dad, it's adorable to watch you interact with Luc,"

Harry smiled and sat next to the smaller before pulling him into a kiss, "I love you interacting with Lucy too, it's adorable, it's one of the things that made me fall in love with you," the blue-eyed boy blushed. "Really?" Harry nodded, "You're so kind to them from the beginning and it's the best thing to watch,"

"I love you, Harry," the green-eyed man connected their lips, "I love you too, so much," the taller replied. "Come on let's get to bed, I know you must be tired," Louis giggled with a soft nod. Harry stood up and helped Louis to his feet before picking the smaller up bridal style making the younger giggle softly and Harry carried him to their room.
