Same Day...

"Lucy, are you ready to decorate your gingerbread house?" the little girl nodded with a squeal, "Yes, please!" Harry turned to Louis, "I got one for you too, Lou," Louis giggled softly. "I haven't made one since I was probably twelve," Harry heard the sudden change in Louis' voice, "Lucy, do you think you can clean off the table for me while I talk to Louis for a moment?" she nodded before skipping into the dining room.

"Lou, is everything alright?" Louis nodded, "Yeah, everything is fine," his voice cracked a bit, and Harry hugged him. "I know you're lying; can you please tell me?" he asked softly, "It's just... the last time I decorated a gingerbread house, that was the last good day I had with my mum... the next day her condition got worse and she had to go to the hospital, a week later... she lost her fight to cancer, it was a few days before my thirteenth birthday,"

Harry hugged him tighter, "I'm so sorry, baby," Louis buried his face into the crook of the taller's neck, "It's alright, she not in pain, and she passed in her sleep," Harry kissed his temple, "I bet she was a wonderful woman,"

"She was... she was the one that encouraged me to get into dance, at the time I didn't listen, but now I'm following her advice and taking dance classes," Harry smiled softly, "I think she would be proud of you," he told him. Louis blushed softly, "You think so?" Harry lifted his chin before pressing their foreheads together, "I know so," he whispered before connecting their lips.

After a minute, Lucy came running into the room, "All finished, Daddy, and I put the houses on the table," Harry pulled away with a smile, "Thank you, love bug," she nodded with a bright smile.

Harry laced his fingers with Louis, "Are you okay?" he asked softly as they walked into the dining room, "Yeah, thank you for comforting me," Harry kissed his cheek, "Of course, my love,"

1 hour later...

"You're gingerbread house looks really pretty, Luc," Louis told her, "Thank you, Lou Lou, yours is pretty too, I like yours too, daddy, but not as much as Lou Lou's," she giggled. Harry poked at her sides, tickling her, making the little girl giggle and squeal as she pushed his hand away.

After another hour, they were done with their gingerbread houses, they set them on the kitchen counter so the frosting could dry before setting them in the window seal. Lucy finished her house early so she was just coming out of the bathroom from taking a bath...

"Daddy, can you braid my hair, I want it to be curly like yours in the morning," Harry chuckled, "Sorry, love bug, I don't know how to braid Hair, auntie Gems usually does it for you," the little girl pouted but nodded.

"I can braid your hair, Luc," Louis told her, she smiled, "I didn't know you could braid hair," Louis giggled, "When you grow up with as many sisters as I did, you learn a thing or two about hair," the green-eyed man chuckled. "How many sisters do you have, Lou Lou?"

"Five sisters and I also have one brother," her eyes widened, "Wow, I wish I could have a sister or a brother," Louis smiled and looked up at Harry. "Maybe one day, Lucy," the taller man told her, making her smile.

"Alright, I'm all done, Luc," Louis told her, making her squeal and get up before running to the bathroom to look in the mirror. After a minute, she came back and hugged the blue-eyed boy, "Thank you, Lou Lou, I love it," Louis hugged her back, "Of course, I'll do your hair anytime you want me to, alright?" the little girl nodded with a squeal, "Yay!"

"You look beautiful, sweetheart, just like a princess," Harry told her as he grabbed her hand before twirling her around, making her giggle. "Thank you, daddy,"
