He checked my neck before helping me up; my whole body was shaky, and I heavily relied on Dean to help me, who also had Sam to deal with. "Just leave me behind," I could say before breaking down. "Kaylee," Dean yelled, picking me up, but my neck hurt a lot. "Dean, I can't breathe. Just leave me here." I was able to say with deep breaths and pain in my neck. "No, I don't leave you behind." Dean snapped. "Put me down, Dean, im a burden. Just leave me here." I told him, trying to get out of his arms, but he held me tight. "I am not gonna leave you behind."

Dean snapped. "Dean, get Sam, Michelle, and Corbin out and save." Dean and I argued when he finally put me down for a second since my neck was bleeding again. We got it back under control while Dean tried to find a signal. Since I was out of reach for Sam, I didn't see what happened, but when Dean returned, I heard him yell, waking me out of almost falling asleep. "What happened?" I asked with a scratchy voice. "I don't know. He all of a sudden died on me." Crobin called out, waking Michelle, who fell asleep next to me. I started crying when I saw Sam lying motionless on the floor. "Please don't leave me, little brother." I felt his shoulder, but nothing happened. "Kee, come on, we have to go." Dean called me, but I stayed kneeling next to Sam. "Kee, come on, please. I promise I will get him when you and the others are safe." Dean pulled me up, but I tried to pull myself free.

"Im not leaving Sammy here." I snapped. "Come on, Kaylee." Michelle took my hand, and with a last look, I walked out of the cabin. Dean stepped in front of me, Corbin and Michelle behind me. I tried to walk behind him, but my feet were tired and hurt significantly. "Kaylee, come on, we're almost there." Dean walked back to me when I stopped, helping me walk until we finally reached a clearing next to a road when I felt my head dizzy again. I fell to the floor when I heard Michelle call my name, but I only listened to a ringing in my ears. The next time I woke up, I felt something poking in my arm and a bandage around my neck. I tried to open my eyes, but the light was bright; when I raised my hand, I felt a bandage around my arm where the picking came from, which was a needle sticking in my arm. "Ow," I mumbled when I felt something touching my hand; when I looked, I saw Michelle sitting on my bed. "How are you feeling?" she asked quietly. "Well, Im in the hospital, for I don't know how many times, and I have a dead brother." I paused, looking up to the ceiling. "So yeah, I feel like crap." I ended up feeling a tear building up in my eyes. "Well, apparently not," Michelle replied, which made me look over, confused. She told me about Dean killing himself to talk to a Reaper, and when he came back, he ran off to find Sam.

"Where is he now?" I asked when Corbin came in, but he wasn't normal, and now I finally put two and two and figured out what happened. "Run Michelle." I tried to get out of bed, but I still had an IV in my arm and a machine monitoring my heartbeat. The cables ripped away, and I was able to help Michelle stay safe on the other side of the bed when Dean came crashing in and threw Corbin around. "Don't look," I whispered when I heard a thud. "Kaylee, you okay?" Dean asked before checking on Michelle.

Finally, I saw that Dean wasn't alone, and at the door was Sam. I was so happy to see him, but as I walked over, he was cramped, falling to the floor. "Sammy," I called when a doctor came running. He and Dean brought Sam away while I stayed with Michelle. Dean and I waited in the hall while the doctor stitched up. We were silent when Dean finally broke the silence. "Listen, Sis, I never wanted you to get hurt," Dean said. When I looked over to him, I couldn't entirely turn my head due to the bandage around my neck. "I decided to go back to hunting after ditching Dad and you by going to Stanford with Sam," I said. "I chose this life, Dean, and I don't blame you, okay? You have to stop blaming yourself for me getting hurt. I decided to go hunting when you came to Cali asking me for help to find Dad." I told him. "I didn't want this life for you and Sam," Dean mumbled. "Stop it, Dean." I grabbed his hands, holding them. "It's not your fault. I chose this life." I looked at him sternly. "So stop it," I grumbled, releasing his hands and getting up and walking out of the clinic where we were when Dean walked out after talking to Michelle, insuring her she would be okay. We waited for Sam, and finally, I could hug him. "Never do that again," I told him. "Can't promise anything." Sam smiled.

We grabbed my car and went home; a day later, I walked inside from outside when I walked into the library since I had a doctor's appointment. I heard Dean on the phone with Crowley. "Whazap," I grumbled into the phone in my most annoying voice. "He says hello," Dean told me. "Tell him he's an asshole,"  I whispered. He frowned his brows when he rolled his eyes all of a sudden.
