She got up from the pavement when a man appeared on the other side of the car. It was her husband, whom she hugged. Sam, Dean, and I walked further, and a few meters away from the car, we saw a man with curly hair helping a young girl up; as he turned around, I didn't realize who he was, but since I watched the kid hug her mom only as he spoke, I recognized the voice. "We should probably talk," Chuck said with a smile. Oh shit, I thought, but I could run off. "What the hell?" I grumbled. "Good question. What the hell is going on?" Dean asked. "Im happy to fill in the blanks, but maybe somewhere we can sit down," he said, but I made it clear I wouldn't go anywhere with him. "She right, we're not going anywhere with you." Dean grumbled. "How do we even know that you're real and not any kind of someone." Dean couldn't finish the sentence. Chuck snapped his fingers, and suddenly, we were in the bunker. I looked around when somebody popped out behind Chuck. "Kevin." Sam and I said at the same time. I walked over to Kevin with only two steps, ignoring Chuck and hugging him. "Hey." I felt his arms around me, and when I stepped back. "You looked stressed, especially you," Kevin said, looking at Dean. "It's cool you can trust Chuck. Whatever he has to tell you to do, he has the trust you can do it." Kevin said with a short pause. "I always trusted you," he added. "Kevin," I said with tears in my eyes out of happiness. "You do realize how that ended the last time," I said, now feeling the tears. "I know. You were my best friends." Kevin smiled. "How did you? Are you okay?" Sam asked when I started bawling. "Kevin, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry about what happened to you." I sniffed, trying to speak normally, but it was impossible. "It's okay." Kevin smiled, which I could barely see through my tears. "I don't mean to interrupt," Chuck said, standing beside Kevin. We have a lot to talk about." he turned to Kevin. "You've been in the veil long enough. It's time you get an upgrade." he waved his hand, and Kevin became a ball of light rising through the ceiling toward heaven. "Can I ask something?" I asked when we all sat down. Sam and Dean sat beside me since I refused to be close to Chuck. "Sure, Kaylee." Chuck waited for me to continue. "Where the fuck have you been? We needed your help, I prayed for you to save Bobby, but you did shit." I hissed, leaning forward. "Alright, easy now. Maybe I'll start." Dean placed his hand on my shoulder. "What she said." Dean nudged his head in my direction before taking the hand off my shoulder. "I know this is unexpected; some won't forgive me." Chuck paused, looking at me, but I lowered my head, not wanting to meet his eyes. "We needed your help, and you did bullcrap," Dean grumbled; I felt his anger in the tone of his voice. "I know you're angry, but I can explain." Chuck's voice got quieter. "Yeah, and what crappy excuse are you gonna bring?" I asked in the same tone as Dean. How the hell did you leave us? How could you not come back to help us with the leviathans or Lucifer, your Son, who has our friend in his grip." I yelled, Sam tried to stop me, but I ignored him. "Or that dumb ass scribe of yours Metadouch." I finished with even more anger in my voice. "I know you're angry." Chuck tried to say, but I stopped him. "But? but you're again with the buts. I can feel them coming." I scoffed. "Also, didn't we live together for months, and you didn't try to say a word about who you are? I might not believe it, but I still may say a peep." I snapped. "Alright, you done?" Dean finally had enough. "Yeah." I scoffed. "I have nothing more to say; with that, I got up from my place on the stairs, turned around, and walked to the hallway, closing my bedroom door behind me. Laying on my bed thinking about Chuck's sudden return and all that happened with the darkness made me wonder what my life could have looked like without being a hunter, just living a normal life. A knock ripped me from my thoughts, but I said nothing. I just kept quiet. "Hey." It was Sam standing at my door. "Brought you some warm milk with honey." he placed the mug on my nightstand. Sam sat down on the bed, and I moved to the side. After hesitating, Sam and I lay on the bed while I was under the sheets. He lay next to me in his clothes on top of my blanket. "Are you okay?" he asked softly. "I don't know Sammy." I quietly whispered."You had no idea he was God?" Sam asked. "No, I didn't even know he was a prophet when we were together while Dean was in Hell." I sniffed lightly. "Hey, it's going to be okay. You remember what I used to tell you when we were younger?"Sam asked, and I nodded. "Yeah, You have bad days and good days. It's going to be better." I nodded and wiped the tears away when Dean called for us from outside. Sam and I got up, and I quickly grabbed my robe and the mug with the Milk. "My room." I called, and a second later, Dean came running. "I just had a vision; Amara has Cas." he said, stopping. "What did you see?" I asked right away. "At first, only Amara, and then she showed me Cas. He was beaten up and probably tortured." Dean explained while we followed him to the library.
