Sunny, how lovely was that? Within a memory, you could always look back and just simply see yourself sitting within the grassy plains of mondstadt. No worries with fingers entangled in your partner's hair or the grass beneath your fingertips. It was one of those days. Calming, under the sun with a humm of the windlife that surrounded the two boys within the field of grassy lands, unbothered by not a single threat. Life seemed at ease as they basked in the sunlight. Bennett sat still with a small notebook in hand, minding his friend, and partner's head keeping the pad elevated just enough to provide shade to the sleeping wolf-boys eyes. Small, gasping snores were all that gave Bennett some peace of mind as he scribbled down on the piece of paper like a damned maniac.

It all seemed so, absent-minded. Too calm, yet blissful to for once, be blessed with such a moment. Razor shifted.

The greyhaired boy rolled over, laying on his stomach with his head seated perfectly between the other boy's thighs and knees, arms outstretched on both sides of Bennett's torso like a feline whose limbs stick out of their small tower caves like a person's foot would, bed and cover. Comfortable.

It was about time Bennett looked around, lazily lifting his head from the pale notebook to glance at the green grasses and swaying treetops over yonder. Allowing his hands to be freed of their work for just a moment to set the notebook down along with its scraggly pencil. Razor's nose nuzzled into his stomach. Bennett lifted his hand up and gently combed through his boyfriend's locks, playing and twirling the strands of hair around his fingers without a single thought as he took a more in-depth look around. Noting the flowers that bloomed around the fields.

Outstretching an arm, Bennett grasped onto a small dandelion or two, before looking down at Razor who snored happily, dreaming of whatever he may dream of. Bennett kept his mouth shut, however, gently parting the boy's hair before slipping the herb behind their ear. Feeling his partner stirred, his hands recoiled.

Razor awoke with a yawn, blinking with a groan, tired still. He angled his head upwards to "lazily", yet smile brightly. He pushed himself up before sitting up with his hands grasped onto Bennett's knees.

Bennett only chuckled. Running a hand up to the other cheek; Razor pushed forward and nuzzled the side of Bennett's neck and face.

Earning a giggle from the boy.

"Why don't you sleep some more? You are still tired looking." Bennett pressed a finger-pad against Razor's nose. Razor sneezed, pulling back before shaking his head allowing his hair to tangle and shuffle itself again in a mop of messy strands (Like it almost wasn't like that before) It somehow made Razor seem all the more tired.

"Fine..." Razor simply pouted before laying his head back down on his friend's; Partner's lap. Nuzzling into their warmth and comforting touches again.Bennett sighed, running his fingers back through Razor's hair with a soft hum before he opened his mouth to softly sing a lullaby to the sleepy boy.

"You are my sunshine."

Razor listened; in a haze, falling in and out of sleep as his partner sang for him a song he could not dare to forget now. Closing his eyes and tucking his head fully, back into the softy and warmth of Bennett's lap.

" my only sunshine..."

Now, it was cloudy. Dark and cloudy the skies were that day, a light warmth echoing from the fireplace within their humble home. Sickly coughs rattling from Bennett's frame. Razor, sat close nearby with a trash can not far off from his side either. Terrified, by the lord he wished he wouldn't have to see Bennett vomit anything by stomach acids up once more. Razor never left his side.

Razor simply sat and waited for his dearest Lupical to feel better again. He wished to go out on just one more adventure with the person he drew close to. Running a hand up the sickly being arm to cup their cheek with a softened sigh. A defeated look on his face as Bennett's breathing began to become something more labored. Sorrow pricked at Razor's skin and stabbed through his heart like nettles. Familiar with this feeling of dread and lost hope as he only carried it back when he lived back with his family of wolves, Those who raised him.

Sentimental he could hear Bennett wheeze beneath him; Rattling like a leaf in the wind. Covered in blankets with a wet cloth over his forehead with huffy breathing.

It pained the boy to watch.

How did time fly so quickly? Why was Bennett so sick?

These questions and many more prodded at the mind of the young boy. It only made him more frustrated. Could he have done more, could he have prevented it? Seen the signs? Could he have?

Those all were left unanswered as Bennett let out a husky call. So small and meek against the harshness of his breathing.

"Razor...?"

"Yes, Bennett?" Razor answered, his eyes widening as the mere speech of the other boy was surprising. He didn't mind the boost of motivation and the feeling of hope prickled back into his mind as it crawled his and down his spine like a tingling centipede.

Sitting up Razor watched Bennett tilt his head with a soft smile. Baring a request.

"Can you, sing that one song? For the first time..? Do it your way... I don't mind..." Bennett questioned, expecting at least something positive from the boy he loved so dearly.

Razor nearly jumped from his seat and sat back down near the edge of Bennett's bed, grabbing his partner's hand with a saddened expression before he nodded.

"Mhm." The answer was simple.

Razor huffed and allowed his thumb to run over the back of Bennett's hand. Tracing over the knuckles.

"You are my lupical. My only lupical."

Razor began, he could feel the blockage in his throat build as he swallowed, urging himself to continue the song with a closed throat.

"You make me happy, when skies are grey."

Razor managed to push past the blockage in his throat with a soft rumble of his vocal cords. Allowing his hands to clasp onto Bennett's hand tighter with a comforting and warming embrace. Bennett smiled at him.

"You'll never know, dear, how much I love you."

Razor could feel, the other boy's grip get looser, the audible slow of their breathing only pushed Razor's mind more astray. Wishing for more comfort in this now cold home. Without any withdrawal he continued, forcing himself to endure this moment, and this moment alone. The song continued.

"Please don't take..."

Razor could feel Bennett slip away with a whisper, being whisked away under his touch. Tightening his hold on the other boy's hand. His eyes narrowed on his partner's body as it soon lay quite still... Razor's eyes watered and stung as he pushed back the urge to sob.

"My lupical away..."

That was it, Bennett was motionless without a peep. Sleeping peacefully within another plane. Razor could only feel happy that it went this way instead of a more, brutal way. Though he could only let out disgruntled whimpers as he pushed himself onto the bed beside Bennett.

He curled up and simply pulled the body close, no thoughts behind the action as he held Bennett close and sobbed. Breaking his form to cry into their shirt like a child with grabby hands at their mother wishing for just something more.

But that was it.

The sunny day was Cloudy. Grey, Dull even.

The lullaby was over, wasn't it?

Razor woke up with a start looking around with widened eyes hoping that it wasn't some stupid nightmare that managed to tick his mind into thinking it was true. Yet. It was. No one was there beside him when he woke.

He supposed it was it wasn't it?

It was.

And perhaps, another lullaby will lull him to sleep with another...
