Me and Farleigh never really had a good relationship with each other, we both got on each other's nerves quite a lot. I've been one of Felix's closest friends for a while, he'd invite me to parties and occasionally to Saltburn but I'd never actually been there since I always had plans and was busy during the summer. Until this summer. I didn't have anything to do so my schedule was free, I was just waiting for Felix to invite me again.

I was at the library at Oxford writing an essay on my laptop when someone suddenly sat across from me, I looked up to see Felix grinning. "Felix" I said and smiled at him before going back to my laptop, typing away.

"Aishi, Hi. Heard you're gonna be free this summer" He began to spoke "So how 'bout it, Saltburn?" Felix asked.

"Where'd you get that from?" I raised an eyebrow at him before nodding "But yeah, I am free. Maybe it's time to see what this Saltburn is all about" I let out a small chuckle as I saw Felix's smile grow wider.

"Great! I swear, you'll love it there" He said as he stood up "I'll leave you to your work. See 'ya at the pub later, yeah?" He said as he walked away which I only replied with a simple nod. After finishing my assignments at the library I went back to my dorm to get some rest then went to the pub just a bit later.

The pub wasn't far from the dorms so I just walked to get there. I walked in the pub and immediately saw Felix and his other friends. "Hey" I greeted some then took a seat next to Farleigh since it was the only seat available. When I sat down next to him, he gave me a quick cold glance, almost a glare. I just ignored it since I wasn't in the mood for our usual banters. A while later, every body was chit-chatting with each other. Felix called a friend over to our table. Oliver I think his name was. Felix then proceeded to introduce his new friend.

After a few shots with everyone, Farliegh thought of something "Wait, wait wait. Jägerbomb!" he stated "It's your round, man" Farleigh said pointing at Oliver.

"I should go to bed" Oliver said.

Farleigh wasn't letting it go "Wait no, no, no. You can't snake your way out of a round" he said.

"I'm.. I'm not" Oliver replied shaking his head.

"It looks like you are" Farliegh said as everyone started booing. I felt bad for Oliver and nudged Farleigh with my elbow.

"Give it a break" I whispered at him, glaring a bit

Farleigh looked at me "What?" asked me as if he did nothing wrong "He still did it, look" Farleigh said pointing at Oliver walking to the counter.

"Farleigh. Just cut him a break, man. That rounds gonna coast a 'fuckin fortune" Felix spoke.

Farleigh just brushed it off "Pub rules Felix" he said, causing me to roll my eyes.

'What an ass' I thought. I glanced at Felix signaling him to help Oliver out since it looked like he was having trouble, Felix just gave me a quick nod and stood up. making his way to Oliver. At some point, some girl joined us and was now on Farleigh's lap which irritated me a bit, probably just the fact that they were practically making out next to me. "God. Just get a room" I said under my breath as I rolled my eyes at them and stood up from the chair. Farleigh seemed to hear what I said as he glanced at me with a smirk. This guy always seems to enjoy annoying me.

I would never admit it out loud, but I was kind of jealous, my pride was too high to admit that. I do admit, Farleigh was a very attractive, had a thing for him for a while, I think I'm still kind of into him 'Wait, what was I even thinking, this guy is a prick'  I cringed at myself as I went to the dance floor to try and clear my head 'Maybe I drank too much' or maybe I never actually got over him.  At this point I was a bit tipsy. I let the rhythm of the music flow through as I sway my body. I felt a pair of hands snake its way on my waist causing me to turn around.

I saw one of our classmate Lucas. I quickly brush his hands off my waist "Lucas" I greeted him. This guy always made it clear that he had a thing for me which made me uncomfortable most of the time. Lucas tried to start a conversation with me stepping closer and trying to grab my waist again. I keep taking steps back until I bumped into someone.

"Watch where you're going-" Farleigh cut himself off when he saw my distressed expression. He the glanced at Lucas, picking up what was going on. Farleigh put a hand on my hip pulling me closer and was now against his body "You wanted something, Lucas?" Farleigh asked in an intimidating tone. Lucas just scoffed and walked away. When Lucas was gone I brushed Farleighs hand off my hip.

"Thanks, but I could've handled that on my own" I say with my word slurring a bit.

"Talk about ungrateful" Farleigh rolled his eyes "If I didn't step in, he could've probably taken you away or something considering you're drunk" Farleigh said looking straight in my eye as he leaned closer to me.

"I can handle myself y'know, plus I'm not drunk, just tipsy" I retorted "Just go make out with some girl again or something" I said annoyed.

"Oh? Is this jealousy I'm hearing" Farleigh smirked.

"Don't flatter yourself" I rolled my eyes "It's annoyance" I muttered as I walked back to the table. A few shots later and now I really was drunk. I usually would walk home with Felix whenever I got drunk like this but he was busy talking to Oliver, I didn't wanna interrupt. I stood up and tried to walk to the door. My vision was spinning and my mind was all over the place, I felt nauseous.

"Going home already?" I heard someone talk. I look behind me to see Farleigh

"Fuck off" I didn't have the energy to deal with him right now so I just continued walking to the door until I almost lost balance, luckily, Farleigh caught me before I could hit the floor. I couldn't argue and just let him catch me 'fuck I feel so light headed' I thought.

"Careful now. Don't want to make a fool like you look more foolish" Farleigh said as he chuckled mockingly.

"Prick" I said still in his arms with my eyes closed.

"I'll take you home" He said as he held me up right "Want me to carry you bridal style?" he teased.

"I'll slit your throat" I threatened, he just chuckled in response. After a while, Farleigh walked me to my dorm. There was quite a peaceful and chill feeling in the moment he walked me home. Moments like this where we weren't hostile to each other were rare but it wasn't like it never happens. We stop at my door "Thank you, Farleigh" I said as I leaned on my door with my eyes closed. Whenever I get drunk I just close my eyes cause it helps my nausea.

Farleigh leaned down to me. We had a notable height difference since he was six feet five and I has five feet four. He leaned down to me so he was now at my eye level ignoring any sense of personal space "You owe me now" He smirked.

I groan and tried to open my eyes. I open my eyes to see Farleigh really close to me "Should've known you get something out of this" I sighed 'And I thought he was actually being nice for once' I thought. "Fine. What do you want?"

"I'll save it for another time" He grinned and fixed his posture as he turned and walked away "Night Aish" He said as he left. Aish was a nickname he gave me when we first met, it was short for Aishi. I didn't bother responding and just went in my dorm. 'That was one hell of a night' I thought as I passed out in bed.
