Hidden Secret

Chapter Four

(Julian)

(Transphobia, homophobia, bullying)

Julian is running away from something, or someone, when he reaches a corner, and can't find anywhere else to flee.

He turns around, sweating nervously, and in fear. His breathing is heavy, and his short copper colored hair clung to his forehead, his blue eyes wide with terror.

A group of boys stalks up to a terrified Julian, and he tries to back away even more, but bumps into the wall.

The group consisted of his usual bullies, a tall red-headed boy with weird hair, a short guy with brown hair, a tall boy with no hair, and another guy who never participated in the bullying, but was always present, and was about average height, and had short blonde hair and brown eyes.

The tall red-head towered over Julian as the fearful boy sank to the floor.

"Hey freak. When are you going to accept who you are? A girl, who's name is Ella." He spat at him.

The short guy and the baldie patted the red-head's shoulders in congratulations at his supposed 'great' insult.

It was pathetic.

It hurt.

But it was pathetic.

The blondie looked away, seemingly ashamed, but didn't stop anything.

The baldie stepped forward and began lightly kicking Julian in the side, before turning to his buddies while the helpless boy sat and took it.

"Come on Danny, let's mess with her! You too Lucas!" He said, and the red-head and short guy stepped forward, beginning to kick Julian as well.

The red-head– Daniel, called out to the other boy who was standing around, looking at Julian with a guilt-ridden expression, "Join us Sebastian! You know it'll be fun!"

Sebastian's eyes widen, and he takes a step forward hesitantly, but he doesn't get far before a shout sounds through the hallway.

"Get the fuck away from him you bastards!" A girl with strawberry blonde hair– Julian's friend Jade– yelled.

She ran at the boys, reaching them swiftly, before punching Daniel in the jaw, sending him stumbling backwards, and blood started trickling out of his mouth.

He opened his mouth to speak, but Jade punched him again– this time in the nose– before he could.

"I'll rip your fucking teeth out and shove them up your ass if you don't leave!" She shouts at him menacingly.

The rest of Julian's friend group– Isaiah, Vivian, Everest, and Naomi– comes sprinting down the hallway, seemingly just now catching up with Jade.

Daniel stumbles backwards again, before turning and sprinting away in fear, as well as the baldie and Lucas.

Sebastian steps towards Julian, starting to open his mouth, "I'm so-" He begins, but is cut off by Naomi pushing him backwards.

"Fuck off, man!" She says, shoving the blondie backwards again, this time making him hit a wall.

His eyes soften, and his eyebrows furrow in disappointment, before he nods, and walks away, defeated.

Everest kneels down next to Julian, checking him over for injuries while Jade and Naomi call after the boys, calling them 'cowards' and 'pathetic little assholes'.

"Does anything hurt?" They ask Julian in a soft tone of voice.

He nods, and points at his sides.

Everest nods, "Can I pick you up? Or can you walk to the infirmary?" They ask.

"I- I can walk..." He says softly, while standing up. He wobbles as he stands upright, and Isaiah catches him.

"Come on, let's get you to the school nurse." Isaiah says softly, wrapping an arm around his upper back to help him balance.

Julian nods, and they begin to walk to the infirmary, dragging Jade and Naomi along with them.
