Open My Eyes - (A SeeJinx Story)

Too late...

I ran throughout the dark, sleeping city. The coordinates led to an abandoned facility or something... Whatever it used to be, it was big...

The doors were locked and chained shut for some reason, though it wasn't a problem for me. I turn the knob on my helmet and switch my eye to the laser.

The lock breaks after I press the button and I fumble with the chains. The chains eventually fall and I open up the doors. I walk through the halls quietly and carefully as I search the entire building.

Everything seemed to be abandoned recently... No evidence was left over.. No papers, plans, technology, writing, nothing... Not even dust coated anything.

It was strange... What had happened? Where is everyone...? My question was soon answered after I entered the next room...

The next room was like a chamber... It was huge and tall... But what surprised me the most was the ice blocks each kept in a frozen cell...

I walk up to one of the many cells and let out a gasp as I jump back... Inside the ice cube... No.. It couldn't be...

"Kyd Wykkyd...?! Kyd! Hey...!" I speak up in hopes that he's okay... I knew he couldn't answer anyway, but I just hoped... I hoped he was alive...

"I'll get ya out... Don't worry... I won't leave you like this..." I make my promise and start looking at the other ice blocks. I saw the rest of the Hive, The Brain, Monsieur Mallah, and many, many more villains.

"Woah... What happened here...?" I continue looking around and notice the sheer amount of villains gathered in one place...

Gathering my focus, I walk back to the frozen cell that held Kyd Wykkyd. There was a keypad and small screen nearby his and Billy's cell hooked up to the wall. I looked at the screen, and it read:

Frozen Condition:
Stable
Removal Safety:
Low
Please Defrost Before Removing From Stability Cell
Missing: Temperature Regulator

"Great... I can't free them... What the fuck is a temperature regulator...? How do I even fix a temperature regulator..? Shit I'm screwed..."

I didn't want to give up, but I knew I couldn't fix that... I barely know how to fix the TV when it disconnects from the wifi...

While I walk back to our base, I try to figure out what a temperature regulator is... The best I could think of was a thermostat...

The main problem is that the one in the base is most definitely damaged. And thermostats in regular houses might not be big or strong enough to defrost nearly a hundred human sized ice cubes...

If only Gizmo wasn't frozen... He would've figured this out and fixed the problem in a day... Why did I have to be the unfrozen one...?

If all of the villains have been frozen... How do I even get help? Who can I ask that won't run away or try to arrest me...?

I fucking hate feeling so useless...

(Sorry for the very short chapter. This part felt like extra for the previous and next chapter, so I decided that this small part will get its own chapter... I promise that the rest won't be this short. Have a good day/night)
