It always came to your attention that you were no ways in the world similar to your friends, Rui & Mizuki. Maybe it was the fact they were seen as outcasts in the school, and you were not. Actually the complete opposite.

You had a plentiful amount of friends, people who liked you and talked to you, like the student who no one could ever hate in the entire school— I mean come on, you weren't anything rude. You were actually seen as a total sweetheart!

So why did you choose to hangout with the Weirdos the most? Honestly, you had no idea. Maybe it was the fact you didn't see them as weirdos, just people who couldn't find a proper way to fit in.

You respected them, and they respected you. And although no one in the school knew of your relationships with them— you still gave them a chance at being liked, even if it was just you.

It was nice, being with them both. Especially when it's just quiet, the three of you at the rooftop, silent chitter chatter between the two besides you as you ate lunch.

Today was simply different though, Afterall— Rui himself was absent, leaving just you and Akiyama alone for the first time this month.

It wasn't often you had talked to them separately, maybe during conversations the two of you exchanged words together, but usually Kamishiro was there to pop up a few times aswell.

Sitting alone with them was a different story, this was probably actually your first time the entire year being with just them. It made you slightly anxious, no not anxious actually— uncomfortable?

No, not that either. The air surrounding you two just felt, awkward in a sense. Yeah, that was the word. Awkward.

It wasn't like you minded though, there were multiple occasions where you had been surrounded in complete awkward silence with the two of them. In some way though, it was oddly comforting.

A sigh was heard from your left, you turned to see Mizuki seeming a bit distraught. You lowered your tray of food to your side, piping up to ask them what's wrong. They glanced at you, reluctantly replying.
