Seeing her

"Well, I would love to sit and talk more, but I really have to start heading home. My dad will think I fell into a black hole or something." Elizabeth sighs while looking at me.

"Oh, uh... yeah, I guess it's gotten pretty late." I chuckled while looking at my watch, which showed it was only nine at night.

"Well, I'll see you around Jesse. Just remember what I said about the lost boys." She tells me with a nervous look.

"Yeah, sure, I'll be sure to keep away from them." I tell her. To be honest, I don't even know what these people look like. I can't really tell her I'll stay clear from them when I don't know who they even are. But whatever makes her feel better.

She seemed really sweet. It was nice to have someone to talk to. I know that we just met, so I should keep my guard up still. You never know what people's intentions are.

When Elizabeth left, I snooped around the comic store for a little while. I ended up finding an old photo of two boys and their parents. I'm assuming the ones who used to own the place. I'm surprised they haven't torn the place down yet. I guess nobody wanted to touch a place that was as Elizabeth said, "haunted with the ghost of the missing children," which I think is a bunch of bull.

Taking the photo, I make my way through the crowds that flowed through the boardwalk. An eerie feeling ran over me as I made my way through the boardwalk. Eyes landing on a carousel I swallow while staring at it. There's just something so... off about it.

Shaking my head, I make my way towards the exit where I see a bunch of bikes parked. Are they even allowed to park them there? I wonder who owns them.

I watch as a group of boys and one girl make their way towards the bikes.  Carelessly mounting them while shoving each other and laughing.

The one had bleach blonde hair. He seemed to be the leader as he held himself up in a way that the others didn't. Next to him was a man with dark hair with a tooth necklace. He seemed to be so calm that it was almost offsetting how calm he was compared to the rest of the rowdy group. By him, there were two other guys with brown hair. One look identical to the guy in the photo i took from the shop... but older. Was that him? Another man next to him looked like the other kid.

Part of me wanted to go up and ask them about the lost boy and the missing people. They seemed like they were just as fascinated by that stuff as I was...well am. There were two blonde guys who were messing around with each other. And one last guy with curly brown hair with a girl who also had curly hair. Huh, what an interesting group. I noticed one of the motorcycles was left empty. I guess they were waiting for someone.

I couldn't help but feel a drawl to these people. I'm not even sure why. I just felt like there was so much more to what the eye may see.

"It's about time you show up!" One of the guys hollar looking past me. A girl and guy walk past where I was...

Wait... she looks so familiar. Like I've seen her before. I watch as the blonde guy jumps onto his bike as all thei thers seem to be all over the girl. Darn, I guess she's taking. Not that I would really stand a chance.

As she climbed onto the back of one of the bikes, the girl turned to look at me, and my heart stammers. The girl from the photo stood right there. The missing girl. That's where I recognized her from.

She gives me a small smile. I quickly return it before noticing the curly hair woman on the other bike staring between us. I wonder who they are.

The curly hair teen shakes her head at the girl from the picture. Not wanting to cause a commotion, I quickly retreat into the crowd, making sure none of the boys saw me. I'm not trying to get a beat down for looking at someone else's girl. But she was beautiful.

I was from afar as she looked around for me again with a frown. Before they started their engines. They drove off as I shook my head. What an interesting start, huh?

"You have fun on the boardwalk?" Dad asks while I enter the not emptier house.

"I would say it was an interesting time." I tell him.

"Interesting? That's all you have to say. " He chuckles.

"I don't know, dad. It is a lot different from what I'm used to."

"I know." He sighs.

"How was helping out." I ask with a smirk.

"Fine. You know I was uh thinking of taking her out to dinner. Just to thank her for all the help." Uhuh, sure, that's the reason.

"Sure, dad." I laugh
