Pre-Time Skip There once was a young girl named Yumi Tanaka who lived in the bustling city of Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Yumi is the sister of two brothers. Yumi was raised in a toxic, violent, and neglectful household.
Yumi's parents continued to abuse her and her elder brother, even though they all had jobs, lived in a secure home, and paid their bill payments on time.

Third Person's POV
Yumi was sound asleep, dreaming happily until her older brother Kaji woke her. "Mmn, what's up, Kai?" Yumi inquired while Kaji sat on her bed.
"It's time to get up; come on. We have school," Kaji muttered. Their parents began arguing and shouting as soon as Kaji finished speaking. "Are you serious? Why are they fighting again?" Yumi chuckled while shaking her head.
Kaji turned and looked at her again and remarked, "I know, it's like every other day they fight." "I bet they're cheating on each other again," Yumi stated as she was getting ready for school. "Oh, that wouldn't surprise me in the least. I also got a call from my uncle and aunt. They're here for a week, Kaji replied, getting to his feet.
"Uncle and Auntie are visiting for the week? Hell yeah!" Yumi exclaimed when she sang it. "All right, well let's get ready we have 10-15 minutes," Kaji said walking out of Yumi's room.

My parents gave birth to me in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, on October 11, 1990. Although my dad is the manager of a convenience store and gets paid good money to help with the bills and everything, he was always an asshole who would get wasted or stoned after work.
Other times, he would disappear for three days and would most likely cheat on my mother. My mother was no better; she would hardly ever cook, clean, or take care of me and my brother; she would frequently skip work and go to parties with her friends; and she would also cheat on my father.
