Chapter 2: The Mysterious Door

6:00 in the morning

Amelia and Jonathan were almost done packing their suitcases and putting them inside their car. Zoe was brushing her teeth after that she brushed her hair, she packed her backpack with dolls, books to read, and lastly her phone. She goes downstairs to see if her parents were done packing up the car so they could get ready to go on their trip to the new town.

"Hey mom! I'm ready as I'll ever be, I'm very excited to see the new house!" Amelia looked around to see if William was here, she sighed and asked Zoe if could see if Will is awake and also ready to leave. "Honey, could you go see if your brother is awake? Let him know that we're getting close to leaving here please?" Zoe sighed and said yes, she goes inside to look for her brother's room. Meanwhile, Will sits on his bed and still thinks about what will he actually do once they get there, he goes on his phone and looks at old pictures of him during his high school years. He admitted that he will miss them because now he needs to accept for what's coming for him.

" *Zoe knocks on the door* HEY WILL COME ON MOM AND DAD ARE FINISHED PACKING LETS GO LETS GO!", "Oh my god I'm coming no need to yell and bang on my damn door like a maniac!" , "Well then hurry up! We're waiting for you!" Will puts his phone away and picks up both his suitcase and backpack he opens the door but also gives his old room one last look before he takes off. The siblings went downstairs and finally got out of the old house, after that they both get in the car and close their doors. "Ok kids the town is 6 hours away so let me know if you need to go to the bathroom or if you're feeling hungry ok?" Will and Zoe both said yes and Jonathan proceeded to drive away from their old house

3 Hours Later

Zoe was already fast asleep and William was listening to music while playing 'Clash of Clans' on his phone, as soon as they finally arrived to their town destination and so far it was beautiful than they could ever imagine. "Ok kids we're finally here, welcome to "Enchantville!" The kids both looked at their windows and they gasped at the same time realizing how amazing the town looks. Fountains everywhere, the people hanging out and having fun, shopping stores and more! Zoe was excited to see what her new school would look like as for Will he couldn't believe his eyes and didn't expect everything to look good as he thought. The family were very close to their new house location, as they are Zoe started talking about what she might do once they start. "Oh my god I can't wait to start looking around do some shopping, this'll be the best day ever! *squeal*", "*Jonathan chuckled a bit* I told you guys that this will be a game changer! Just wait till we get to our new house!" ," *Amelia looks at Will* what do you think dear, you excited?", I-I guess so...I don't know to be honest". "It'll be alright son trust me, once we get to the new house you two may choose which room you like the best".

They finally reached to their new house location, it's a few minutes away from the town but the trees around it makes it very wonderful to view it from across. Jonathan finally stops the car and tells the kids to unpacked their stuff from the trunk, once they grabbed their suitcases and backpacks they proceed to go inside the house and see how big it was. They explored a bit around the house to see if there's anything interesting they could find, the kitchen was pretty large and the living room was big enough for the family to have fun and even watch a movie. "Hmm, ok I'll admit this house and town is pretty sweet there's even a big room here to watch tv and maybe play video games!", "For once I agree with you bro, but the second part you said was stupid. This room is only for family members and friends to hang out and spend more time together not just for you to slack off and become a lazy bum for the rest of your life!", "Oh shut up! RACE YOU TO SEE WHO GETS THE BIGGEST ROOM!!!!", "WAIT WHAT NO FAIR ARGH YOU CHEATER!!!"

William and Zoe were trying to find who will have the best room one of the rooms were taken by their parents, Will was already step ahead from Zoe he closes the hallway door, locks it and chuckles so Zoe wouldn't get in. "HEY YOU JERK OPEN THIS DUMB DOOR!!!", "Hahaha now I'll find a better room than you first!", " Argh! Just wait till I tell mom on you you cheater!". Zoe runs back to get her mom and Will was still chuckling to himself and continues to find a room for himself. He starts to wonder across the hallway to see which one he'll take first, he opens each room to see if one of them were either good or not he opens another and started to hear a strange whisper coming from his left. He sees another door upstairs but for some odd reason it wasn't there before he entered the hallway, he closes the room door and checks out the strange room. He goes upstairs to see if he wasn't seeing anything weird going on, he walks in closer and sees some wooden star-like symbols on each side of the doors. He started to think who would create something that stylish once he was done thinking to himself he hears another whisper but this time it was calling his name, William shakes his head to see if he wasn't hearing things he proceeds to open the door to see what's inside and once he did...he was interrupted.

"AHHH WHAT THE HELL!" Will turns around and sees his mother standing right behind him. "William Spurlock, what on earth were you even doing?! And why did you lock your sister out? I told you both that you may choose which one not to see who has a better room than anyone!", "YEAH YOU CHEATER!", "B-B-But mom there was a door here and I was going to check it o-", "What do you mean sweetie, I don't see any door?", "What do you mean you don't see it it's literally right-", Will turns around and the door disappears out of nowhere, he was very confused because he literally saw it right in front of him. He tried to convince his mother but she didn't buy it. "Mom I swear to god there was another door here I'm not lying!", "Listen William I don't want to hear any more excuses from you, choose one room and that's it!" Will's mother leaves the halls. "Ha, that's what you get for locking me out and cheating!", "Oh shut up! I was distracted because that stupid door was there!", "There is no door you liar! You're just mad because I'm finally going to get a better room than you first! So suck it up!" Zoe leaves Will alone in the halls, Will was still very confused about why the door disappeared in the first place he turns around and turns around again fast to see if it'll reappear again, but unfortunately it won't work again.

6 Hours Later for Dinner time

The family are now eating at the dinning room enjoying their first meal at their new house they just moved in, William was still thinking about the mysterious door he just saw hours ago and of course he couldn't tell his dad about because he'll probably think that he's lying too. After that they finally have a conversation about something different. "So sweetie we managed to look for the school we mentioned yesterday, turns out it's only 6 minutes away! It's called 'Enchantville Junior High' I think you will love it there the class rooms are nice, the hallways are clean as well, the staff is quite honest but also very responsible, most importantly how well the rules are made too! So your father and I thought to ourselves that this is the perfect school just for you". "That's right hon, I think you're going to love it there!", "WOW I'M SO EXCITED TO GO THERE TOMORROW THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST I KNOW IT!". Amelia turns to Will, "Will sweetie, your father have been searching as well to look for a college just for you, but for now on we will think about it some other time is that ok?", " ( Argh! I gotta find that stupid old door so I could prove to them that I wasn't lying after all-)", "Son, is there something wrong? You've been quiet and staring at your food for the last few minutes, what's wrong?. "Huh oh?! It's....it's nothing dad, I was just thinking about something else", "Hmph, I bet he's still mad because he couldn't a better room before I did", "HOLY CRAP I WASN'T I WAS STILL LOOKING FOR THE DOOR!", "Are you seriously still thinking about that?!?!? For the last time Will there wasn't any more doors you dumb stupid liar!", "I WASN'T LYING I SWEAR TO GOD I'M ACTUALLY TELLING THE TRUTH I SAW A DOOR AND IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND IT DISAPPEARED RIGHT BEFORE YOU GUYS SHOWED UP!", NO YOU'RE NOT YOU'RE A BAD LIAR AND A CHEATER AT THAT TOO!", "OH YEAH YOU LITTL-", "ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU!".

Both Will and Zoe sat in silent and were scared to say anything else, Amelia sighed and grew tired of the rambling she had to hear. "William, just please go to your room now.....I don't want to deal with this tonight...please", " *feels sad* y-yes mom....", "Zoe go to bed early so you may wake up tomorrow for school ok dear?", "Yes mommy...I'm sorry". Amelia covers her face and starts to worry if this will ever change at all, Jonathan walks towards her and starts to talk to her, "Honey...everything is going to be ok", "I'm just worried that our children won't be able to, I'm starting to think that this might be a bad idea for all of us...am I a terrible mother??!!", "No! Don't ever say that honey! Listen, there's nothing you need to worry about. I completely understand this is still new to us but I guarantee that hopefully this will change for the greater good for our lives, at times there will some difficult obstacles to try and pass but it's always ok to find a way to get pass them and figure out a way to beat them we just gotta not give up hope and that's all it'll take". Jonathan hugs Amelia and kisses her softly and tells her it's going to be ok, meanwhile Will was listening to everything and so he goes off to his room.

William was feeling very guilty about what he just witnessed. He couldn't bear to think about disappointing them any further....he truly wants to try and change to make them feel proud but he doesn't know exactly what to do. With these thoughts in his mind, Will cries himself sleep while hoping for a better tomorrow.

Later that night, the door reappears again and this time it immediately starts to glow little by little and lastly.....the door slowly opens.
