A birthday present from Zelretch

A small One-shot that could be the Zero Point of some future Crossovers in my CCH (Chronicles of the Celestial House) series.

Narrator's POV

January 12, 2025.

The universe is a vast place full of wonders and monstrosities that very few people can imagine.

Planet Earth in the last two decades has learned about the dangers of unknown space, unfortunately, internal conflicts prevent it from creating measures to defend itself without superheroes or expand beyond the planet.

Fortunately, other planets and civilizations are not facing the same development and expansion problems as Earth.

In the Milky Way Galaxy, at the center of the Perseus Arm, there is the Camiluz planetary system, composed of a sun, six planets, a gas giant and a handful of moons.

The second planet from the Sun is Ysatnaf, a planet whose surface is 90% covered in boiling purple water.

The remaining 10% of the planet is made up of islands (Titan corpses) ranging in size from New York to Great Britain or Madagascar, with a single exception reaching the size of Australia.

The main population of Ysatnaf, seems like something out of a fantasy novel and can be divided into four categories: Witches, Liminal, Spirits, Echidna.

Witches, are men and women capable of using magic, characterized by pointed elf ears and a humanoid shape.

Liminal, are the people who from a human perspective can be considered the Demi Human of the planet.

Spirits, beings of pure magical energy who live primarily in the "Astral World", but occasionally come to explore the Physical World and establish contracts with the worthy.

Echidna, anyone for one reason or another is not part of the first three categories, characterized by a "monstrous" appearance.

In the past thirteen years, since the Owl Lady, a Wild Witch brought a human girl and a one-of-a-kind hybrid to the Boiling Isles, an archipelago in the far north of Ysatnaf, many things have changed.

Orbiting the planet Ysatnaf is a huge futuristic-looking space station, colored mainly silver-white, dark purple and with some dark red sections.

The space station consists of a large central cylindrical structure with a command center on the central part, on top of the cylinder there is a hollow dome.

The space station is surrounded by two disc-shaped structures, the upper one composed of a mega factory and the lower one composed of material storage facilities and hangars for star-mecha and starships.

A nerd might say that the space station is a combination of DC's Watchtower and Halo's Anvil Station.

The name of the space station is Sunlight and it can boast of having a diameter of 3 kilometers and a length of 5 kilometers.

The Sunlight space station is a secret project created by Bruce Belmont and Amelia Blight, the smartest man and woman on the planet.

This space station serves as a secret laboratory for experiments that are extremely delicate or potentially too dangerous to be conducted on the planet's surface.

Once Sunlight's discoveries reach the point of being stable, safe and mass-producible they will be shared with the rest of the population, albeit at a controlled pace.
