Here is a short Sans x Reimu Hakurei fanfic:
It was a normal sunny day at the Hakurei Shrine, until without warning, a large gaping purple portal opened in the sky. Reimu watched with curiosity as two figures tumbled out of the portal and landed in a heap on the ground.
"Ugh, my bones," groaned one of the figures, a short skeleton monster wearing a baggy blue jacket and pink slippers. He shook his head to clear it as he stood up. "Yukari really needs to work on her landings."
The other figure, a young shrine maiden with long dark hair, also stood up and dusted herself off. "Where are we?" she asked, taking in their unfamiliar surroundings.
That's when Sans noticed Reimu watching them curiously from the porch of the nearby shrine. He strode over and shoved his hands in his pockets casually. "Heya. Name's Sans, Sans the skeleton. Sorry about dropping in unannounced, we seem to have gotten lost in the void between worlds."
Reimu looked him over suspiciously. "I'm Reimu Hakurei. What business do you have here?" Internally she found the pun-loving skeleton somewhat charming in a goofy way.
"No business, just got tossed through a warp portal by an old friend," Sans replied with an easygoing smile. "Think you could help us find our way back?"
Reimu pondered this strange new arrival for a moment before deciding to help. After all, it wasn't every day interesting people from other dimensions showed up. And there was something about Sans' calm demeanor that put her at ease. "I suppose I could see what I can do," she said with a small smile.
Their adventure had only just begun!
______________________________________After introductions were made, Reimu led Sans and the still unnamed traveler inside the shrine. "Make yourselves comfortable," she offered, indicating they could sit on the porch. "Now, tell me more about where you came from and hopefully we can figure out how to send you back."
Sans launched into an explanation of his home of Snowdin in the Underground, with skeletal monsters and puzzles around every corner. Reimu found it all quite fascinating, having never encountered anything like it. As they talked, she noticed how Sans' face seemed to light up when talking about his brother Papyrus. It was clear he cared deeply for his family.
In return, Reimu spoke of Gensokyo's youkai inhabitants and her duties keeping order as the shrine maiden. Sans listened intently, occasionally cracking a joke to keep things light. Before long, the traveler who had come with Sans nodded off in the afternoon sunlight.
"Sorry, she doesn't get out much," Sans chuckled quietly so as not to wake her. He and Reimu continued chatting one on one, gradually drawing closer together as a companionship formed between them despite their differences.
As the sun began to set, Sans turned to Reimu with a smile. "Thanks for hearing us out. Hopefully we can find our way home, but it hasn't been so bad getting to know you." Reimu smiled back, realizing she rather enjoyed Sans' company as well. Perhaps there was more to learn about each other before they parted ways...
Let me know if you'd like me to continue expanding their story further! I aimed for developing their bond through conversation.
