Chapter 3

(Vivian's pov)
"Viv get me a cup of coffee asap!" Eli ordered me as if I don't have better things to do than hearing her boss me around.
"You have a pair of legs and hands go and get it yourself because my shift just ended" I say giving her my biggest grin.
"You can't just spare a few minutes for your bestfriend and make her a cup of coffee and here I was thinking that you will give me a surprise birthday party. I feel hurt you know. It's fine though I still love you girl, but I seriously didn't expect you to betray.."
"Fine stop with that sympathy tricks of yours, I'll make you one" I say before she can finish her speech.
"Thanks bubbles. Love ya!" She says knowing that her trick worked again.
"Anyways" I say rolling my eyes at her.
"Hey don't be a mean ass bitch. Hey..you heard me?" She says from behind but I am already walking towards the counters.
After a few minutes, I walk up to her with the cup in my hands.
"Here's your coffee" I say handing her the cup
"What would I do without you?" She says taking a sip of her coffee.
"Was that meant for the coffee or me?" I ask her.
"Do you really want me to lie to your face?" She says looking a me with her baby eyes.
"Ok. Whatever" I say trying to sound angry but how can I ever be angry with her when she looks at me with that baby face.
"Umm...where's Iris anyway? I haven't saw her today at all." She asks now sounding serious.
"Oh she told me she would be in the library to do some research on her assignments" I tell her.
"Then let's go to her. I want to ask for her help in my assignments." She says finishing her coffee.
"No way in hell I would go to the library with you again!"
"What? Why? What did I do this time?"

You seriously don't remember or you're just fooling around again. You don't remember when you went there last time just to click some aesthetic photos, you dropped the whole book shelf . I still don't know how you got away with it like I know it was night time but the in-charge was still there."
"Aghh that night. I slept with the guy that was working there that's how."She says smiling now that she remembered.
"You're joking" I say with a disguised look on my face.
"Why would I?" She says as if I said something wrong.
"Bitch you can't just go around sleeping with guys who you don't know"
"Wow it's been a long time since I heard you curse. Keep it going girl because the innocence of a person just makes them more miserable than they already are" she says getting up from her chair and grabbing her stuff from the table.
"From all the things I said just now you only focus on that and Where are you going?" I ask her
"To meet Iris in the library? You sure you don't wanna join?" She asks raising her brows.
"Fine I'll come with you if you promise to not create any trouble this time. And let me just give Iris a call to ask if she's still there." I say getting my phone out of my pocket.
"Go ahead." She says looking at her phone's screen.
Iris picks up the phone after it ringed for like two or three times.
"Hey Iris. How's it going with the assignment?"
"Assignment? Is Elliot around you?"
"Yeah me and Elliot are just sitting at the coffee shop. We were planning to come to you at the library you still there?"
"WHAT? She asked you to bring her here? I still haven't sorted through the plan sheets and the library from the coffee shop is like two minutes by foot ."
"Oh so you were coming to the coffee shop in 2 minutes. Fine come here then we'll wait for you here"
"Stop Elliot from coming here at all costs girl. I'll be there in a few."
"Yup we'll meet you here." I say hanging up.
"What did she say?" Elliot asks looking up from her phone screen
"She said that she'll meet us here in a few minutes" I say
"Ok. Great." She says again turning back and looking into her phone.
