I stretched and squinted at the morning light coming into my room through the window. I glanced at my phone for the time, 9:26 AM, and smiled when Chan was still there. He wasn't facing the camera, his shoulders were bare and his hair looked messy. I sat up slowly and lightly brushed my fingers through my hair to fix it. I got up and went to the bathroom. I did my business and made my way back to bed, grabbing my TV remote from the dresser on the way.

Chan wouldn't be up until later in the evening. I really hate our time difference.

After sitting in bed for a little bit, scrolling through social media, I sighed and got up to get ready. I stood in front of my closet staring at the clothes hanging up. What do i want to wear? By now Riley has joined me by the closet and tilted his head as if confused. He probably is confused as to why his mom is standing there staring at clothes instead of feeding him.

"Fine come on you goof." My feet softly thumped the floor as I walked down the hallway to the kitchen, Riley's nails tapping behind me. As we both entered the kitchen, Riley immediately planted his butt next to his bowl and made a huff noise. "I'm going, i'm going!" I opened the tote full of dog kibble and scooped a cup into his bowl, "Good boy." I patted his head and walked back to my room.

I hummed and pulled out a red tank top. I held it up, shrugged, and grabbed a black zip up. "Not over dressing today." I snatched up some black sweats and changed quickly.

After I left the bathroom, my phone rang from the kitchen. I hurried down the hallway and reached over the bar to answer my phone. The caller ID reads "Rinny My Love", I hit answer and Rinny is already squealing in my ear. I put her on speaker, "Hey Rin, what's up?" Rinny inhaled sharply, "Guess what?" I smiled and rolled my eyes, "What?"

"The company Rowan wants me to walk for them!" I almost dropped my phone, this is Rinny's first ever walk offer. "OH MY GOD?!" Rinny giggled excitedly, "I know! So I accepted obviously but I have to finish my shoots here. They said if we can hurry in time, I can finish my shoots tomorrow and get on a flight to New York tomorrow night!" I set my phone down on the bars counter top and did a little happy dance. "This is such good news! Oh my gosh, I'm so proud of how far you've come Rinny!"

"Stoppp, you'll make me cry. But anyways that's what I wanted to tell you but also.. I'm allowed to invite two people. I wanted to invite you, Sam, and Rako, but I only have two invites. BUT since Rako is in the modeling world too, I'm sure he gets his own special invite. So, do you want to come to my first walk?" Riley finished eating and looked at me curiously while I squealed in excitement. "Of course I want to go! When should I leave to New York?" Rinny hummed while she thought, "Probably tomorrow?" Riley yipped softly, "Shit. I'm gonna have to find someone to watch Riley for a couple of days."

"I kinda forgot you got a dog, whoops." Ameria sat down on one of the bar stools and quietly thought about who would be free to watch Riley. Then she found it, "I could ask Meya!" There was plastic rustling and then a crunch before Rinny spoke, "Who's Meya?" Ameria was already texting Meya. "Meya works at the animal shelter I got Riley at." Ameria hit send. "Oh makes sense!" Meya immediately texted back.

Me

Hey this is kinda last minute but can you watch Riley for a couple days?

Meya

Oh yeah sure! Can I ask why?

Me

My friend Rinny got her first runway walk offer! She wants me to come watch her in New York

Meya

Oh that's so cool! Good for her! But yeah sure that sounds fine, when would you drop him off?

Me

I'm leaving probably tomorrow evening so maybe sometime in the afternoon?

Meya

Okay that's fine!

"Okay Meya said she can take care of him for a few days. So I'll pack tonight and pack Riley's little bag and then look at tickets." Rinny hummed in agreement, "Okay! I have to go now but I'll call you tomorrow before you leave." I grabbed my phone and walked to my bedroom, "Okay love you! Bye!!" Rinny said bye and hung up.

I sat down on my bed with a huff and sighed at the thought of packing. I picked up the TV remote and went to Spotify, "If I'm gonna pack I need some jams." I clicked on my liked song playlist and hit shuffle, as it started to play I went to my closet. I grabbed my suitcase and let it fall on the floor. Before packing any clothes, I decided to check the weather in New York, it is summer but who knows. Thankfully it looked like it would be in the 80s and 90s while I was there. I pulled a few tanktops, jean shorts, and regular shirts. I folded the shirts and threw them in my suitcase. Next I packed socks, underwear, and a few nice dresses for the show.

In the other side, I packed my toiletries, another pair of shoes, heels, and an extra sweater. After I finished packing, I checked my phone for the time, 1:17 PM. "Riley!" I shouted for the brown puppy and a few seconds later he came bounding into my bedroom. "Let's have some lunch and then we'll go on a walk?" Riley's tail wagged aggressively at the word walk. I stood up from my spot on the floor and closed my suitcase, turning the TV off on our way out the room.

I put a cup of kibble in Riley's bowl and moved to make myself lunch. I grabbed some waffle mix and quickly made the batter. Once the batter was done, I put it in my waffle iron and prepped some fruits. After the waffles were done cooking, I put the strawberries on top and drizzled some syrup as well.

Riley was already done with his lunch and waited impatiently for me to eat mine.

I grabbed Riley's leash and hooked it to his harness. I made sure he was secure but still comfortable and then opened the front door. Riley shot out into the hallway and we quickly made way to the elevator. Once we made it to the lobby, I waved at my neighbor Sara, who was getting her mail. Riley and I made our way outside and began our path towards the park.

At the park, Riley ran around with other dogs that were there and we stayed for an hour. Riley eventually got tired of playing and we made our way home. As we walked back towards the apartment building, I checked my phone, 3:46 PM. I still need to edit yesterday's video, I recorded a clothing haul after I went to the mall with Sam.

As we entered the apartment, I bent down and unhooked Riley from his leash and he ran loose. I laughed as he jumped on the couch and tripped on his way back down. I gathered my laptop, notebook, a drink, and joined Riley back in the living room. I turned the TV on and put Gravity Falls on.

Riley and I watched the show for an hour or so while I edited my new video.

Kinda left this on a bad cliffhanger?? but i'm gonna continue this chapter in the next chapter just because i don't have time to finish this chapter before thursday 🤘
