My alarm blared loudly, making me awake with a start. I jolted up in bed and huffed out a tired sigh. Stretching my arms back, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and pushed myself to stand. I grabbed my phone off the charger and walked slowly to the bathroom while texting Sam. Looking at the time I realized we're kinda late for breakfast.

Me

Do you wanna go to brunch?

Sam

Me

Oh me too lol so meet in the hall in like 30ish minutes?

Sam

I set my phone on the bathroom counter top and left to search my suitcase for a casual brunch outfit. It's gonna be pretty warm today so I won't wear anything heavy. I pulled a white tank top and black jeans. Classy and comfortable. I walked back to the bathroom, hooked up my music, and started the shower.

As the music played, I smiled as I stepped in at the song "Goodies" by Ciara. I danced a little when the warm water hit my front. My shower wasn't long, I kinda rushed it so I wouldn't accidentally be late. After hopping out of the shower, I tensed from the rush of cold air hitting my uncovered body. I grabbed my towel, quickly wrapped myself, and swiped my hand across the mirror to get rid of the steam.

I dried off and slipped my hair up into the towel to keep it out of the way. I grabbed my outfit, slipped the jeans on, and then hooked my white bra on. I unraveled my hair and brushed through it. I found the hair dryer and dried my hair while styling it. As I was finishing up my simple makeup, I heard a knock at the door. "Yeah hold on!" I carefully slipped my white tank top on and went to open the door. Sam rolled his eyes playfully, "You said 30 minutes?" I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Okay!! I kinda underestimated how long it would take to shower, get dressed, do my hair, and my makeup!" Sam sat down on the edge of the bed and laughed. "So you thought you could do all of that in 30 minutes??" I squinted at him with annoyance. "Let me put my shoes on and grab my stuff." Sam nodded and I turned around to my suitcase to find a pair of shoes. I grabbed the black boots I brought with me and slipped them on over my socks. I popped up from my spot on the floor and grabbed my bag, throwing my phone, charger, lip gloss, and other shit I'll need. "Alright let's go eat."

Sam and I walked down the street looking for somewhere to eat. "What are you hungry for? Breakfast foods? Lunch?" I shrugged and scrolled on my phone looking at breakfast spots. I stopped at a cute little cafe called 'Egg Nook'. I whipped my phone around to show Sam, "Here!" We agreed and headed that way. Thankfully it wasn't super far, it was only a couple blocks from the hotel. When we entered the cafe, I smiled at the interior. It was a nice open space, lots of windows, the color scheme looked to be white and yellow, and along the walls were booths. Sam led us to a booth with yellow leather.

As we sat down, a younger girl wearing a yellow apron walked up with a smile. "Hi, my name is Tori and I'll be your server today. What can I get started for you?" Sam opened his menu and I offered my drink, "Lemonade?" Tori nodded and turned to Sam. "Uh.. an iced coffee." Tori nodded as she wrote down our drinks on her notepad, "Cream and sugar?" Sam gave his sugar amounts and the girl glided off behind the counter. "Know what you're getting yet?" I shook my head and glanced over the menu. Egg platters took up a good portion of the right side, breakfast bowls took up the other space on the right side of the menu. On the second page there was omelettes, burritos and wraps, and breakfast sandwiches. "I think I'm gonna get the loaded breakfast bowl." Sam flipped his menu to look at my choice, "That sounds good, I'm gonna get a breakfast wrap. The bacon one."
