I was currently inputting my students grades into the system when I got an email. It was from the magnolia tournament. The roaster was already out. Our first game was next month which made sense seeing as the tournament starts next month and last three months in total. Then we have six months to train for the GBG.
Our first match was with a team called Titan Nose. I searched up the team and it was coed team. I decided to look through some of their games. And they play dirty just the like rest of the magnolia teams and they've competed in the GBG a few times and for to the semi quarter finals. Twice. But Raven Tail, Twilight Ogre, and Scarmiglione have been the top three representatives in the past five years. So we need to be one of them in order to become one of Magnolias representatives.
We have a lot of training to do and we need to come up with a starting lineup as well. And get equipment as well. But my sister is looking into funding. I decided to finish my work. When I was done it was lunchtime. I went and met up with my sister "did you see the roster that was posted"she asked "I did. I also researched the team as well"I said "good and I got back with our budget"she said
"Okay and how much are we getting"I asked "the school is only allowing us enough for one basic bus that has no bathroom. Two catchers equipment, a set of official game balls, one set of practice uniforms, two sets of socks, and one set of game day uniforms"Mini said "that's not a lot"I said
"most of the funding went to redoing the field, dugouts, and bleachers. So that's all that we have left. But if we become representatives for magnolia we get a grant and the school will give us more funding"my sister explained
"So we need to win then which means a harder practice regime and do practice matches against one another. And find schools to do practice matches with as well"I said "we might have to call mom and dad and ask if we can play against their third string"Mini said "and ask some of our former teammates and coaches to play against their third string teams as well"I said
"That way we can have a roster for when we win the tournament to get practice in"my sister said "when we have a schedule it works out better as well. And I think we should have early morning weekend practice for two hours. Then two hours at the batting cages then a two hour study session as well"I said "we should go to the batting bags that has a field in it that way we can get straight to practice"my sister said "sounds like a plan"I said
"Well let's get some phone calls made and have things scheduled"I said "but first let's order the practice uniforms and game day uniforms"My sister said "got it"I said. This was going to be fun. I want to beat mom and dad's teams and show them that we can be amazing coaches like them as well.
