Sohee and you got complicated relationship. You always knew– in fact, everyone knew, he has a thing for you back in highschool and you did too but the way he acts always makes you doubt about his true feeling. You have good relationship with his friends and you two always looked awkward with each other. Whenever you see each other, the first thing that comes to mind is running away. And it was because of a stupid dance.

Ninth grade was when it all started. There was a dance for freshman and he asked you out. You gladly said yes and you were excited and all. That night you danced and had the most exciting night of your life. You seriously thought he liked you just like you did but when you went out to look for him outside when he said he wanted to get fresh air, your heart couldn't take it when you saw him kissing a girl.

You ran away from him and decided to never speak to him. Sohee knew you were mad because of it and tried to apologize but he couldn't make good excuse so his lack of words explained it for him.

So when you see him at a party, now in college, with a girl, it took you back to that night. You just rolled your eyes. That was typical of him. Then you went back to your group of friends as if you didn't see your first love.

"Y/N!" Someone calls your name and you turned around to see Seunghan waving at you. He gestures you to get over there and you made a beeline to him and his friends. Then you noticed Sohee walking towards Seunghan and the others too. You stopped midway but you wanted to play it cool. You don't have that much of history so why should you think too much of it? Beside who is he to make you uncomfortable with your favorite group of friends?

"Hey!" You loudly greeted despite the loud obnoxious music. You were so loud they greeted you with the same volume. You didn't even drink an alcohol but it was just to mask your nervousness around him that you are speaking loudly and you don't realize it yet.

"Y/N!" Chanyoung gives you a side hug. And you say hi to all of them.

"Hey," you say to Sohee and he gives you a tight smile as he looks everywhere but at you.

You tried ignoring him but you just couldn't. You noticed he changed his hair, swept to this side and few strands falling on his face. He has now striking features that replaced his boyish looks from highschool. He still had that snuggle tooth that he shows off with no insecurity. Even if you are studying every part of him, your face look like you're ready to kill him. Sohee knowing you well, didn't try to say anything, even if he wanted to so bad, so he just glares at you back.

"You wanna dance?" Sungchan asks you as he extended his hands. Taken aback, you take his hand and went to the dance floor.

The thing Sohee likes about you is that you are full of confidence and the way you dance just explains how much of a free spirited person you are. You are so bad at dancing that the way you move scared the dancers away. You didn't care however and you jumped around, forgetting Sungchan was there. Sohee watches you as you dance freely even with no alcohol in your system.

Sungchan just leaves you be as he dances on his own after some minutes and you didn't even notice.

Everyone claps for you and you bowed dramatically.

Several minutes after, you are exhausted and you slumped on the couch. You panted as you try to catch your breath. You were happy you came and glad you forgot about Sohee who still is watching you as you take a rest.

You calmed down after few minutes and started conversing with other people. You drank little but you are still energized which you admire about yourself.
