I can't hold his hand. But then he will know I am hiding a secret. One that could end me. But then again, I can't open that door and get back to that dark place again. A place I ran away from all these years for the sake of my sanity.

I start getting my stuff back in my bag as I completely ignore his hand. I slowly stand up avoiding his burning eyes and turn my back to him. I hold the keys in my shakey hands but they fall to the ground. Before I can grab them, Elijah's hand snatches them. I gasp and look at him.

''Give me my keys back!'' I say in a clipped tone, my eyes avoiding his. His face suddenly gets dangerously close to mine urging me to look at him. Urging me to see his questioning big brown eyes that hold mine captive. ''Not untill you tell me why you can't touch my hand'' I feel his words caress my soft lips from how close he is. And I can't stop staring at his full, plump lips.

"What are you talking about?'' My voice is strong but I feel my entire body shaking. Maybe if I pretended not to understand what he is asking he will leave me alone.

"tsk tsk tsk... I know you are hiding something. It's all over your face. Now what would that thing be? How big of a secret is it, for you to be this frightened?"He whispers so close to my ear that a shiver runs down my spine. His eyes find mine again looking, digging and searching for answers I can't give.

"What will happen if I accidentally touch your precious little hands?" Elijah asks while playing with my keys. His big eyes drop from mine to my hands. I instinctively hide the source of my nightmares. That act alone brings Elijah so much satisfaction and I see a triumphant smile slowly take over his handsome face. A smile that makes my heart stop.

I need to get out of here. He is dangerously getting closer to finding out what I am. What I can do. Who knows what he will do with that type of information once he gets it. I can't trust him with a secret that destroyed my life because it wasn't taken seriously. Because people can't seem to imagine that it's real. That I can see the way they will die, how and when it will all happen no matter how far or close in the future that is. I, myself don't know why I can do it. How it is possible for me, that I don't know. I just don't know. I've been asking myself these questions for all these years but I haven't found any answers.

My eyes land on my keys in Elijah's big hands. There is no way I can snatch them from him without touching him. I have to think of another way. I need to distract him, to surprise him . I need to give him something else to focus on while I get my keys from him.

"Should we find out?" He asks in a low tone extending his hand for me to take. I can see the challenge in his eyes. I can almost taste the excitement radiating from him since we are standing so close to each other. Up close, i can see there is a hint of green in his brown eyes. I can also see a small scar on his chin. But my favorite thing that shouldn't really matter to me since I hate this man is how soft and fluffy his raven hair looks. I want to touch it, to dive my hand in his black strands. My right hand twitchs and I have to fight the urge to test how silky and perfect his hair is. Elijah notices that I am lost in his strong, powerful features and a small smile appears on his face.

He flexes his extended hand to remind me of my situation. Right then as I look at his muscular arm, his poping veins and calloused hands I can't think or reason with myself. He has engulfed all my senses with his charismatic presence. My keys suddenly jiggle in his other hand, their sound louder than my heartbeat. That simple sound brings me back to earth and I remember what I am supposed to do.

A small smile appears on my face as I look from Elijah's hand to his eyes and back again. His eyes drop to my lips as he watches my smile grow bigger. A frown changes his features and I can see the confusion clear in his iris. He is wondering why I am smiling if he has cornered me. He thinks he has the upper hand here. Oh but you are wrong Elijah.

I take a step closer to him so now there is only a hair of distance between us. He stands his ground looking down at me, his face not giving away to any emotion anymore.

"Why my hands?" I whisper so close to his lips I am sure he feels my words before hearing them. My eyes ping pong between his, then drop to his plump lips for a split second. I can see the change in his breathing, as he wisphers back to me. "What do you mean?"

"Why do you want to know what will happen if you touch my hands? Why my hands only?"I ask as I take several steps forword not giving him any other option but to take several steps backwards until his back hits the wall of my building.

He is taller than me but that dosen't stop me from puting both my hands on the wall next to his broad shoulders. I can see his eratic pulse in the vein in his strong neck. His eyes nervously land on my lips. "What about other places?" I whisper my mouth inches from his and i hear his loud gulp as he stutters "what..... what other places?"

I have to remind myself not to make any physical contact with him. The urge to taste him, to kiss him, to land my lips on his neck is so so strong. I am only sure that our hands touching is going to trigger my curse and I will have a vision but I don't know about other things. If I kissed him right now will It have the same effect as my hands? Will I get a vision if my lips are doing the touching and not my hands? I don't really know and I am not ready to find out now.

"My neck" I whisper a smile in my voice next to his left ear making him shiver. I move from his ear to his lips almost touching them with mine and whisper again "My lips" I hear a sharp intake of air coming from his lips and I can't stop my smile from breaking free. I'm glad I have as much effect on him as he has on me. Now for the last blow, it has to be something big since my keys are still dangling from his hands.

"But do you know where I really want your hands?" I move next to his right ear to whisper again waiting for his response. "Where?" I bearly catch his question since his deep voice has dropped to a low murmur, and my heartbeat is loud in my ears.

I turn my head so that my breath comes directly down on his neck close to his ear and wait a moment before whispering finally "On my other lips".

I hear my keys hit the ground as I watch goosbumps on Elijah's neck. He droped my keys from the shock. And I couldn't be more proud of myself at the moment.

Before he can say or do anything I snatch them from the ground take my bag and hurry to the door. I quickly open it without looking back at Elijah and hurry inside my building locking the door behind me. I don't stop until I've climbed the stairs and gotten to my appartment closing the door behind me.
