This morning couldn't have gotten any better, Jungkook thought, watching the bright sun stream through the airport windows. They were finally going home — his home — together.

They settled into their seats on the plane, and this time, Taehyung kept Yunhee tucked closely against his chest almost the entire time. Jungkook couldn't help but notice just how much the older had changed since their first flight together.

Back then, Taehyung's hands had been stiff, his every movement tense and unsure when handling the baby. But now, his gaze was soft, his touch even softer as he gently fed Yunhee without a hint of hesitation.

It felt like Jungkook had witnessed a transformation — like he had watched Taehyung slowly step out of his reserved, lonely shell into full bloom.
He had finally embraced the springtime of his life, allowing himself, maybe for the first time, to truly live — not just survive, not just chase wealth and work tirelessly — but to be happy.

While Jungkook was still quietly observing him, lost in the sight of Taehyung cradling Yunhee with such natural tenderness, the baby suddenly tossed his bottle to the side. It bounced once before disappearing between their seats with a dull thud.

Both of them instinctively moved at the same time to retrieve it, leaning down fast — and in the cramped space, their faces ended up startlingly close.

Jungkook froze, feeling his breath hitch. Taehyung's face was just inches from his own, close enough that he could catch the faint scent of mint lingering on his breath, mixed with something warm and distinctly Taehyung. His eyelashes framed his deep eyes, his skin glowing softly under the cabin lights.

If either of them so much as moved an inch forward, Jungkook was sure their lips would touch.

Their hands brushed between the seats, fingers bumping awkwardly — yet instead of pulling away, they hovered there, fingertips grazing skin, trapped in that charged moment.

Jungkook felt it then — a soft, unmistakable spark where their fingers met. It wasn't loud or dramatic. It was subtle, like a ripple in still water, yet it tingled up his arm, made his heart beat against his ribs in a rush of something breathless and new.

The bottle lay forgotten between them.

Taehyung was the first to blink, clearing his throat softly as he leaned back, a faint pink dusting his ears. Jungkook, flustered, quickly snatched the bottle and handed it over without daring to meet his eyes, his own face heating with a shy, helpless smile he couldn't hold down.

Neither of them said a word about it.
But the air between them had undeniably shifted — softer, warmer, trembling quietly with a feeling neither of them dared name yet.

After that charged, silent moment between them, Jungkook — desperate to distract himself from the way his heart was still hammering in his chest — perked up with an idea.

"We should watch something," he said, his voice a little too loud with enthusiasm. "I mean—we have to introduce Yunhee to the best Marvel character of all time."

Taehyung blinked at him, brows furrowed. "Marvel?"

Jungkook's jaw dropped dramatically. "You don't know Marvel?"

The look of pure betrayal on his face made Taehyung laugh under his breath. "No—I don't think so?"

It was safe to say that within five minutes, Jungkook had the in-flight screen pulled up, already clicking into Iron Man. His eyes lit up with childlike excitement as he gave Taehyung a full rundown — how Marvel was a universe, Tony Stark was the greatest, and why Iron Man was, in his professional opinion, the superior character.
