"How unexpected....a shinobi"
The Uchiha locked eyes with the woman, trying to read her and for a split second she considered using the Sharingan to modify her memory, but she remembered the details in the scroll. Kakashi described the 'purebloods' as pricks with a superiority complex and this woman reeked of it.
"...you have a keen eye" slyly began the shinobi "It's quite unexpected for wizards to recognize us", and with the compliment the woman's eyes began to slightly glint with satisfaction.
"For the mediocre, it can be, but not for us" bosted the female, "Us, purebloods, are the best that you can get. But, I wonder, what brings you all the way here? Your kind can be quite... violent, as they say," carefully approached the woman.
"I came as an exchange student, I am afraid", reassured the Uchiha.
"At Hogwarts? How interesting, I didn't know Dumbledore admitted shinobis. What year?"
"I guess he made an exception, I'll be in the fifth year. "
"As Regulus will be, I'm late to introduce myself. I am Walburga Black, Lady of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black, and this is my son and heir Regulus " proudly stated the witch indicating towards the fifteen-year-old boy by her side. The said male did not move, he just stood still, looking more like a statue than a man.
As Sumire locked eyes with him, she felt a slight pull at her mind, not wanting to show her skill, she masterly guided him towards a set of false memories, made especially for these moments. Looking satisfied he pulled back and started inspecting the books on display, not at all interested in the conversation. His mother on the other hand had other plans.
"Regulus, Ms...?" said Walburga looking expectantly for an answer.
"Sumire Uchiha" promptly answered the girl.
"Ms. Uchiha here is going to be your classmate, you should get along with her and teach her the way of the wizarding world." said the mother looking sternly at her son, switching addresses to Sumire, "Uchiha, I see. Quite a good family. Are you from the main family?"
"Yes, I am the clanhead's daughter."
"Good. I hope after your stay here that you'll find the wizarding world much more superior than your... nations." said the woman scrutinizing Sumire with a pointed look. "I'm afraid we must go, I was quite...interesting meeting you, Ms. Uchiha."
"Likewise Lady Black." and with that the mother and son duo left for their business, leaving behind a relieved Uchiha.
While gathering her books, the shinobi couldn't help but wonder what was with the superiority complexes in this society, then again in the nations it was considered normal to have child soldiers, so she left the matter alone.
With all the school supplies packed, she was left awaiting the start of term, and that she did.
---------- 1 week later ----------
In front of the Hogwarts Express families were hugging their children as if they would disappear within seconds over the chatty noise of the teenagers. The red train was patiently waiting for the young wizards and witches to board it, while the white steam emerged from the engine.
It was quite a sight to behold, except for Sumire who eyed the red monster as if it would try to attack her at any given moment. In the Elemental Nations trains weren't exactly the ninja's favorite transportation because of the wide openness. If there was an attack, a train would be a huge disadvantage, and now thinking she has to board such a thing it gave her goosebumps.
