After the big tag duel, life had once again returned to normal. Long days spent enduring boring lectures, hanging out with friends, and accepting the occasional duel requests from your peers. You're almost itching for something strange to happen and make life exciting again. You had expected as much when you met Arbell, the oddity existing in you.
It had been a few days, yet you have heard nothing from Arbell since the day you met him. Though it might be for the best. You had enough going on at school to keep you distracted, like the sports day in gym class.
Your POV - Academy Sports Field
Students: "Come on JADEN!"
Students: "We need a homer."
You're relaxing in the baseball dugout, waiting on Jaden to bat. Nearby, Syrus was rooting for Jaden looking tense as ever. The three of you had joined the baseball group for sports day, and what started as a normal day in gym rapidly escalated into a battle of dorm pride. The teams were Slifers versus Ras.
Syrus: "Jay, keep your eye on the ball."
Jaden: "That's gonna be tough," Jaden says with a smirk. "After all the ball is gonna be going over the rafters!"
Looking at the field, you can see two people on bases. With the score 3 to 0 Slifers, if Jaden sends this one flying, your team will have a 6 point lead on team Ra.
You: "Go Jaden, bring them home!" You say, getting up from your seat to cheer.
The other Slifers who were resting in the dugout had gotten up to cheer Jaden on too.
Jaden: "Just leave it to me fellas!" Jaden says turning towards the pitcher. He made a few practice swings to keep his arms warmed up then prepared for the pitch.
Bastion: "Wait! Hold on!"
The tense atmosphere turned into shock then mild confusion at the sound of someone shouting and approaching the field.
Syrus: "Hey was that Bastion?"
You: "Sounds like it, thought he might have chosen basketball for sports day."

You see Bastion running up to some players outside team Ra's dugout. It was unusual to see Bastion of all people being late. You couldn't make out what he was talking to his teammates about, but you can see one of them signaling a player back.
