Chapter 1:A goddess demands to personally sign my marriage certificate

Purely for serotonin and fun and angst

You might say I have a death wish. You could say that, but I wouldn't. Especially in front of Annabeth. She would judo flip me, and then whoever had the nerve to say such things.

Let me properly introduce myself. My name is Percy Jackson, you may have heard of me before. If you have , I suggest you put this down right now, set it on fire and run far away. I bring bad luck to those who aren't careful. But if you don't know me, ( THANK THE GODS) I am a halfblood from Camp half blood. I've written about some of my adventures before but this is about what happened after those adventures. About how I ended up with Annabeth and how my friends are doing now. And the new enemy that is rising up in the bowels of the earth.

The day my life changed started out like any other day, I woke up in my cabin at camp half blood, Annabeth curled peacefully next to me. Chaos ensued outside but I just assumed it was yet another manhunt for me. In the mornings Annabeth and I woke up curled together , sheltered from the night terrors that so often plagued us, the camp went insane looking for us. At least that means they care, I guess. "Annabeth. Wake up." I whispered to her, shaking her shoulder. "I didn't- no- no- no- AHHHH!" she yelled jumping out of the bed, her dagger ready and pointed at no one, just air. "Oh, its just you.." she whispered, looking slightly embarrassed. "I'm sorry baby," I murmur, getting up and putting my arms around her. She hugged me, her dagger dropping down onto the hard floors of my cabin. "I'm here wise girl, always here." i promised "you better be seaweed brain." she whispered into my chest. I smiled softly but it died quickly, the nightmares seemed to be appearing more frequently as of late and not just for Annabeth.

"Ready to head to breakfast?" I ask, trying to hide my thoughts but she knows me too well and reads it clearly on my face. "Sure." she states though i can see the terror is far from being gone and she struggles to hide it. "I'm sure Leo has something to cheer us up! He and Grover were hammering on some new invention late last night, we can go see it after breakfast!" I tried to cheer her up. "We can, but remember we have that meeting WIth Aphrodite later, about our marriage rites and marriage certificate." She looks afraid and I can't blame her. Aphrodite once said she liked me so she would make my love life miserable just for her enjoyment. Talk about a drama queen. When we walked hand in hand out of my cabin, Annabeth was blushing like she always did. Some of the campers catcalled us and whistled but most of them were used to this by now and didn't really give us a second glance.

Coach Hedge just looked at us, gave me a stink eye and swaggered away, his little goat tail twitching in irritation. Note to self, stay away from him today and keep annabeth close by. He was on a murderous trail today, just like everyday to be honest.

Chiron just gave us an annoyed smile and passed by with the clopping of hooves. "I don't know why we search for them every morning." Piper jokingly stated. "We find them in Jackson's cabin every morning anyways." "They could get kidnapped again and we wouldn't know it!" Frank tried to say gently. "Oh gods i hope that never happens again." Annabeth's eyes widened as she remembered being tortured in front of me. The pain i could clearly read on her face broke my heart . " that won't happen ever again." I promised, my arm squeezing her tightly to my side reminding her she was never alone.

Hazel's amber eyes seemed to peirce my very soul as i held Annabeth even tighter. She began to shake as if having a silent panic attack, and I knew it was time to get out for some air. "We're going to go see what Leo and Grover were working on, see you guys later!!" I wave goodbye as quickly as possible, nearly dragging annabeth out into the sunshine with me. Its not that the mess hall had been dark, it had just felt like the shadows were dragging on even if it was not even past 9 AM.
