"Jack! Are you back to check on the kittens?" North asked.

"What, can't I come over to talk with my friend and co-worker?" North chuckled.

"Is sweet, but I know you're also here to check on the kittens. They're so chaotic, I almost wish I didn't take them in! Almost. They're as bad as the elves, but their cuteness saves them more than it does the elves." Jack grimaced. The elves trying to look cute. . . wasn't pleasant. As if on cue, one of the kittens dashed up to Jack and leapt into his arms, purring. The cat had orange with green eyes, and Jack had taken to calling him Firestar because of his resemblance to the cat in Warriors. He was also the eldest of his litter, and the leader into the chaos. Jack laughed, and held the kitten close.

"I've heard that you've been up to some mischief while I've been gone. Was the look on the yeti's faces worth it?" Firestar chirped happily and rubbed his face against Jack. He laughed again. "Glad to hear it!" Firestar then jumped down and lightly nipped at Jack's legs. Jack understood and followed the cat through the Workshop. When they finally came to a stop, Firestar let out a pitiful mew and pawed at a drawer. Jack opened it out of curiosity, and Firestar quickly grabbed the contents and dragged it off to share the spoil with his littermates. Jack followed, then stopped as he recognized a smell that he had smelled two too many times in the last few days. But at that point, it was too late. By the time North found him, he was half transformed and had one of the kittens in between his paws, grooming it.

"Jack?" North asked.

"Hm? Oh, don' w'rry. This's's normal. Just don't tell Aster, k? Wanna tell'im myself, when I'm ready." North hesitantly agreed, then sighed. Well, at least the kittens would be calm and Jack would be occupied, though the peace would only last so long and then it would go back to chaos. Oh well, at least his Workshop was safe for the time being.
