You are a tomb raider that sell all stolen items on the dark web.
Recently you are exploring the deserts of Egypt. An odd area on the topographic map has caught ur attention.
You dress as if ur an archaeologist, an expert in discovering ancient ruins, helping to rewrite the truth of the past. But you are simply just a thief.
The odd area physically appears like a normal hill in the desert. You circle the area to see an opening in the sand with what looks like stairs leading to some darkness. The size of the tomb appears to belong to a someone of a lower status than royalty, but more luxurious than servants or commoners.
You slowly walk into the depths of the unknown mausoleum. The walls of the corridor leading to the main door illuminated by natural light gradually darkens as you move further inside, it's as if the tomb is telling you are your own. The wind pouring into the mausoleum from behind is unabated, pushing you forward as if the mausoleum is alive and trying to devour your corpse.
The walls under the sun rays tells the story of a young boy. His wonderful childhood, enjoying the love from his parents and people around him, accompaniment of dear friends, with plenty of food in the table and clothing on his back.
As sun rays no longe light up the walls, you light up a torch, illuminating the young boy's difficult life as a man. Parents passed due to illness, friends lost due to his own mistakes. Work that gradually wasted away his body, and a life without knowing when his next meal would be.
The door prevents you from continuing to see the boy's story. As the stone door creaks open. Unlike normal tombs that are filled with traps and multiple passageways, this one only has a simple straight corridor with no trace of any ancient mechanism, only the walls that tell his story.
You continue to walk into the darkness. He slowly climbs the social ladder, he goes from a nameless peasant to one that even the Pharaoh shows respect towards. At the end of his life, no wife nor children or legacy left behind. He denied all valuable funerary objects offered to him, his only desire was to be buried in a quiet place and the few pieces of gold left to him by his parents before their death.
As the paint and drawing on the walls ended. You continue walking deeper into the mausoleum, with every step you take, you feel you're surrounding becoming colder by the second.
The depth of the tomb makes you wander whether there may be bodies of water that cause such coldness. As you walk deeper and deeper inside, you arrive at the main room, where he lays buried in his coffin
Next to the coffin are the four Canopic jars containing his organs. Opposite the coffin is a small wooden box. You place your torch carefully and open the box to reveal the few pieces of gold older than the man himself shining back at you, which makes you wander its worth on the black market.
As you were admire the gold in front of you, the coffin behind you opens.
You turn around to see a fully wrapped hand With fabric with hints of yellow gripping the edge of the coffin and another hand pushing the coffin open. The mummy.....is alive?
He stands up in the coffin. The fabric on his body slowly unravels to reveal the man underneath. At first, his eye, but his eyes still had life in them. The fabric on his right hand and arm unraveled in a spiral, reveal his unusually ghostly white skin with bulging viens that appear almost black, but his skin still had moisture and appears strong. His hair poked out of the fabric, showing dark and thick hair that don't belong on his corpse.
As the remaining cloth on his body slowly drops, he stood naked in the coffin and stared at back you. There were multiple scars on his abdomen, which were naturally the wounds when his organs were dug out before burial. He had no organs and has been lying here for thousands of years, yet there is still blood running in his body. It's as if he was never dead.
You are stunned by his face, such fine structure and features, how did such a man manage to leave the world with no wife and children with a face that men would be jealous of even today
" I haven't had guests here for thousands of years, stay." He said
You were so shocked that you couldn't even make out a sentence. You have raided more tombs than the number of years you have lived yet have never encounter a living mummy"I think you're holding my gold." He
"I...I was...just curious. I'll leave now, you...you...just go back to sleep." You stutteredYou picked up your things and tried to run for it. Before your feet were able to touch the stairs, you feel a gust of coldness cover the back of your neck that sends a shiver down your spine. It was so cold that it made breathing difficult.
Dragged back into the room, the torch fell from your hands and instead of lighting the room on fire, the floor extinguishes the flame. You're questioning the strength of the dead man that just threw you to the floor, and find the confidence to drop your possessions and goes in for a kick. He magically dodged ur kick and gifted you with an ice-cold punch to the cheek.
With the room being completely dark, you can only vaguely see his white corpse. You sit there not knowing what to do, incapable of fighting him, or outrunning him, you stare at his white figure as he moves around the room. As time ticks by, you feel yourself becoming colder and colder and you find breathing becoming a harder task with each breath. Almost as if you're dying.
Vigorously scavenging the floor for the torch and your bag, and somehow you managed to get a hold of the two items. As light returns to the room, he is standing in front of you and staring back. Despite his good looking face, his gaze felt like he could burn through your skin into your bones.
Looking at the fire torch in your hand, you're gambling your last hope that Mummies must be afraid of fire. You launch the fire torch as him as if it was a mini javelin. Instead of catching on fire, be caught the fire torch.
"You stole my things, disturbed my peace, not only wanted to punch me, but also you wanted to burn me... how are you going to apologise" he listed
"I'll give you your gold back, just let me go" you begged" you let yourself in... your not leaving. You let yourself in...you belong to me now. You stole what was mine, and now you shall be mine" he demanded
He extinguished the flame with his bare hands, allowing the room to fall into darkness once again. The end.
