I was flying. I had been flying away for 10 years now. Running, hiding, flying, repeat. That's just how my life was now. I don't remember much about my life before, except I had lived at the boundaries of the Ice Kingdom with my mother, a Nightwing. I never had many memories of my father, although I knew he was a seventh-circle Icewing. Nothing to be proud of, though at least he wasn't a Mudwing.
I looked around at my surroundings. I had just left the Scorpion Den a week ago and was landing in Sanctuary now.
'If I can steal some supplies, then I can get out of here unspotted, I can lie down to rest,' I though as I crept up to a weapons smith's forge and started pick-locking the door with my talon, although I kept looking around nervously,
'Calm down,' I thought 'It's the middle of the night. No one should be awake.' Just then, as if my thoughts had summoned them, A dragon came out of their house.
-Three Moons,- the dragon thought -Who would be awake at this time,- Then they saw me trying to pick the lock of a forge "Hey!" She shouted angrily, "What are you doing!"
I looked at them 'Fuck,' I thought. I sighed inwardly. I needed a whetstone for my dagger, but I couldn't risk being caught, so I took off and started flying away.
After a few minutes, I looked behind me. The dragon was following me, 'I can either turn around and fight them, or summon a storm to distract them,' I thought.
-Summon a storm! What else can this dragon do?- I looked behind me again, surprised. 'Another mind-reader, just what I needed,' I sighed inwardly. In another life, we could've been friends, 'but we can't now,' I thought sadly,
'Well, I better summon a storm then,' I called the power out from inside me, then in a matter of seconds, It went from a beautiful clear night to a thundering storm. 'I'll just buy supplies tomorrow else.'
I flew up to a small cave. 'This should do well,' I thought. I picked up a stick and set it on fire. It looked like the cave went on forever, 'This should do nicely,' I thought, so I took off my bag, set it down next to me and fell asleep, my dreams horrible as always.
