YOO NATSU was actually planning to spend her free day inside her room, scribbling stuff on paper and listening to music with some coffee in hand. but her plans were crashed when her cousin suddenly called her and asked to meet up. and, natsu couldn't reject as they were quite close with each other.
kicking the few pebbles on the way, natsu's mind was all over the place. although she agreed to hang out a local bookstore, she was now kinda regretting her past choice. natsu couldn't help but to feel that the latter had something serious to say to her. kinda scary.
the bookstore they planned to meet at exactly four pm was a comforting place which radiated a sense of silence and joy. pretty literature words in glass frames were hung on the walls and fairy lights were above them, twinkling brightly.
not to mention, they also had a small coffee area just beside the counter. smell of burnt and toasted pastries mixed together with the smell of coffee and latte; everyone loved it.
as soon as natsu stepped inside the bookstore, the bell just above the door rang, emitting a cheerful sound. she bowed her head with a smile when she made eye-contact with the cashier who she grew accustomed to.
"good evening, natsu!"
"oh. good evening to you too, haemin. um, there aren't much guests today." natsu tilted her head, eyeing a few high school girls giggling with their cheeks heated and slapping one another from a distance.
the brown-haired tomboy nodded then stretched her limbs, yawning loudly. "yeah yeah, don't know why though." she then grinned widely, "didn't bring your boyfriend today? why, fought with him?"
natsu glanced up with an amused look, knitting her pierced eyebrows together in confusion. "huh? what do you -oh. you mean-eunseok?"
haemin smiled and nodded eagerly, her face clearly beaming as she neared her face closer to the female standing in front of her. "yes, him! he's very handsome, natsu. you really know how to choose, girlie."
the noirette stepped back a little, a frown forming on her lips. she breathed through her nose, already exhausted at the thought of having to explain things to haemin.
"we broke up." she curtly replied, maintaining a neutral expression on her face.
"broke up, oh-wait. what?! seriously?! for real real!?" haemin exclaimed, gazing at her friend with a look that natsu couldn't quite decipher.
the bell rang. natsu instantly snapped her head towards the door, her face dropping when she realised that it was not her cousin. what the hell, he's still not here?
"no but why did you guys break up?! that's so unfair-you guys were like-like the best couple ever!"
natsu groaned, shaking her head a couple of times. "shut up, haemin. you're giving me a headache." as she turned around, her head bumped into the chest of someone very thin. natsu winced; it was not painful but her head was spinning-just the usual result of skipping meals and sleep.
