The days passed by, one as the other, for a while. Strange looked forward to meeting her friends at school and sharing their newest dyi gothic fashion among the three of them. She didn't look forward to the long, boring lectures from her teachers. And she dreaded seeing Tim. Seeing Tim flirt with every girl she laid her eyes on, pin them against the wall, leave to the chapel behind the school with them...
For so long, Strange was trying to figure out how on earth somebody who looks so hot and badass could commit such an atrocity. She even had dreams about number of insane answers, about how Tim didn't do it. But at the end of the day... those eyes. She recognized those eyes, she would recognize them anywhere, and there was no way around that.
Then, she'd have to go back home to her father yelling obscenities at the TV. Strange tried to avoid him as best as she could, because if she didn't, he'd try to force her to read his newest book. There were few things as uncomfortable to Strange as having Greg proudly read out his newest self-insert sex scene.
But then, one day, everything changed.
Strange was leaving the cafeteria after a rich portion of mormon jello. When suddenly, the coolest motorbike she'd ever seen stopped less than a meter in front of her with scary precision.
"Hey, baby," the biker took their helmet off to reveal a head of red hair.
"Tim," Strange acknowledged her coldly.
"I've noticed," Tim jumped off her motorbike, "that you've been going home by foot. Hanging with the goth kids. Avoiding me. How... strange."
"Very funny," Strange muttered. She was thrown off by how different Tim's demeanor suddenly was. She thought they've come to a silent agreement to ignore each other.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you," Tim said in a kinder tone.
"Then why did you almost run over me?" Strange scoffed.
"Oh don't you worry. I have this machine under complete control," Tim smirked.
"You have this whole place under complete control, don't you," Strange rolled her eyes.
"What can I say, that's the charm that comes with-" Tim suddenly stopped herself.
"With what?" Strange hated to admit she was genuinely curious.
"With this badass motorbike! Anyways, I feel like it's about to rain, what about I take you home?"
"Um, no," Strange laughed, when like on command, rain started pouring. But the sky was clear when she walked out of school, Strange thought. She scratched her brain for a few moments, until she realized that pondering isn't gonna make the rain go away. And while she hated Tim more than anybody, maybe spending few minutes with her would be better than getting sick in the cold rain.
"Alright, fine," Strange agreed begrudgingly.
The ride was silent. Probably because Tim figured Strange would barely hear her at this speed and in the rain. Strange held onto Tim, her head bopping in the heavy helmet. And Tim's body, cold as ice against Strange's. Probably from the wind and rain, Strange thought.
Tim got to Strange's house very quickly. It surprised Strange, but she was glad to be home fast.
"See you in school, baby," Tim winked.
"Wait," a realization struck Strange, "how did you know where I live!?"
But Tim was already driving into the distance.
