It's been a few days since I filmed for Jake and Johnnie and I still can't stop thinking about that day I don't think I've laughed so hard in months, fuck, maybe even years. Jake and Johnnie are even funnier in person than they are online which really shocked me.
I sort of assumed they put up a front for the camera because that's how most of these influencers are these days but, the things they say in their videos are really just their day to day conversations. I liked it, they were authentically themselves.
Which is rare to find these days.
The video was finally being uploaded on Jakes channel today, I was nervous, mostly because I actually made it in the videos too.
I was apart of one of their jokes which I was very honored to even be apart of.
I was nervous but not because I was ashamed of my part in the video but because of their fans. What if they didn't like me, god, what if they hated me.
Once I got a notification that the video uploaded I felt my heart drop. I didn't want to read the comments or even look at my phone, so I turned everything off and decided to watch a movie.
Teenage girls are ruthless, I couldn't handle the anxiety.
As I sit in my living room I couldn't stop thinking about the video, I haven't even seen the final cut of it yet. Maybe it's my best work yet, or my worst.
I caved in and turned on the video.
The video started off like any other normal Jake and Johnnie collab, I forgot how funny these jokes were I could hardly contain my laughter as I watched the video.
I knew my part was coming, I could hardly contain my excitement.
Jake picks up a bottle of perfume examining the bottle then looking up at the camera.
"Layla's Collection? Hey, that's the name of our camera woman." Jake yells out.
The camera pans towards me and I wave at the camera, the camera then pans over to Johnnie, who was pretending to look in shock.
"Are you a real girl? I've never met one of those before." He yells out dramatically.
The camera pans back to me.
"Uhm, yeah." I say
The camera then pans to Jake and Johnnie with a shocked look on their face.
"Woah." They say in sync.
The video then goes back to normal and I could feel myself getting all giddy inside, I never thought I'd end up in their video, it was actually really funny. I hope their viewers thought it was as funny as I did too. I replayed the part once again to reassure myself that it was good.
As the video ends I take a deep breath and smile to myself knowing that I was satisfied by the results. I was so satisfied that I decided to check the comments to see if anyone else liked the bit as much as I did.
'The way Jake was looking at the camera throughout the video was something else'
'I wonder if that girl is Jake or Johnnies new girlfriend.'
'I hope that girl doesn't ruin Jake and Johnnies relationship.'
'That girl Layla is hot she should start filming videos for you more often.'
The comments were, nice, well nicer than I expected. As cool as their fanbase is I wasn't expecting the best reaction towards me. I know how younger people can be when two guys that they ship together have a girl in their video. Thankfully I wasn't seeing any of that, well, yet.
